Negative Play Experience is a term that is supposed to refer to a gaming experience that is annoying, tedious, or just not fun. A Munchkin could cause NPE, for example. More often than not, though, neckbeards will cry NPE on things they don't like, like a Nerf or Errata that disrupts their established playstyle.
