Pathogen: The Infected is a fanmade game set within the New World of Darkness. It centers on "the Infected," people who have gained strange new powers thanks to the supernatural diseases they've contracted. Expect copious amounts of Body Horror.
Created by Adam Thaxton, who has since abandoned it.
Vectors[edit | edit source]
Vectors represent the modes by which a person becomes infected.
Airborne[edit | edit source]
A disease spread by sneezing.
Bitten[edit | edit source]
Infected by the bite of a bug or wild animal.
Endoparasite[edit | edit source]
A disease caused by a worm or other parasite.
Infused[edit | edit source]
Infection by organ transplant or blood tranfusion.
Unborn[edit | edit source]
Infected in the womb.
Symptoms[edit | edit source]
How the infection manifests in the Infected's body.
Dermis[edit | edit source]
The Infected's skin develops a rash and an affinity for water.
Fever[edit | edit source]
The Infected's body temperature rises, and they begin to hate the cold.
Insomnia[edit | edit source]
The Infected has trouble sleeping or suffers from nightmares if they do fall asleep.
Paedomorphosis[edit | edit source]
The Infected begins to regress in age and develops child-like behaviors.
Wings[edit | edit source]
The factions the Infected join, based off of how they react to their infection.
Annunaki[edit | edit source]
Infected who believe they are descended from ancient gods and now form cults.
Cambions[edit | edit source]
Infected who embrace their new state.
Jagda[edit | edit source]
Infected who believe they are the next stage of human evolution.
Neonates[edit | edit source]
Transhumanist infected.
Protectors[edit | edit source]
Infected who fight against other Infected to protect normal people.
Stemmers[edit | edit source]
Everybody else who isn't in one of the above groups.
