The Simurgh, (or Simorgh if you are Yugioh player) is a divine winged beast from Persian Mythology, in vein with the Asyrrian Lamassu and the Egyptian Sphinx. It was the symbol of the Sasanian Empire and a major figure in the Shahnameh.
