A whip is a tool composed of a long length of flexible material used to strike at animals (human or otherwise).

Whips in Warfare[edit | edit source]

First and foremost, whips are not weapons. At least in the same context that a carpenter's saw, blacksmith's hammer or a chef's knife are not weapons. A whip's purpose is not to kill, but to inflict pain and instill fear.
