A Constructed Language (Conlang for short) is a Language which instead of evolving was artificially constructed by someone. A Constructed Language is more than just a list of alternate words ("Blorb" means "Cat", "Sklot" means "Dog", etc), but also includes rules of Grammar and Syntax.
List of Constructed Language
- Esperanto: A Serious-Pants attempt to build a universal language in the late 19th century. In truth, it largely gained support with linguistics nerds and Red Dwarf fans.
- Elvish: Various elvish tongues were written by JRR Tolkien, much of the early framework of Lord of the Rings was
- Quenya
- Telerin
- Sindarin
- Klingon (tlhIngan Hol): Put together in the 1985 by Marc Okrand in part from the ad-libbed dialogue of the first few Star Trek movies.
- Na'vi(Lìʼfya leNaʼvi): Made for Avatar.
