I've grown weary of people getting excited about 40k, then blowing hundreds on models, and then finally realizing the game itself isn't all that hot. Or the people who blow hundreds on models to play a fast wargame with a big community. Or the people who find out that the hundreds they've spent are now useless since X unit doesn't exist anymore.

The point is, the entry cost to 40k is too high these days, and my goal is to create a competitive product that is entirely free, fun to play, and specifically allows papercraft/proxyies/models from any mini company.

The aim is to have a Universe populated by various factions, each having a different fighting style. I'm still working on a name, but I have been modifying (slightly) the FaD rules, and will begin working on 'codices' soon.
