The best official source is the Ambassador Chronicles by Graham Mcneil, in which a villain turned antihero Droyaska plays 'will it blend?' With some Chaos Knights (spoiler: they did blend). This character also appeared to be an officer in the Gryphon Legion, hence the confusion around the name.
