The '''Gilded Aquilas''' are a loyalist, homeworld-based Space Marine Chapter, created during an indeterminate period after the 26th Founding, believed to be the early 42nd Millennium. The Chapter was one of twenty-nine Astartes chapters conceived during a hard time in the Imperium's existence, wars having broken out upon a wide variety of fronts across the galaxy, resources strained to the limit. Though the chapter's gene-seed is pure and the efficiency of their tactical doctrines unquestioned, a somber reminder of the ever-bearing risk all Space Marines must take into account has forced them to consistently be on guard for any traces of heresy. | |||
