It's rather painfully obvious that the Luchs was designed with the experience of vehicles like the SdKfz 234 and Schwerer Panzerspähwagen in world war 2 in mind. It looks similar, has a similar role, and has similar armament.
Aside from that, there's not much to the Luchs. It's a Amphibious, NBC protected, Recon armored car with a 20mm cannon noted for being fairly quiet in operation.
