Stirge

Stirges are flying, bloodsucking little vermin from D&D that look sort of like a cross between a bat and a mosquito. They have appeared in the first monster manual of every edition.

They also show up in Pathfinder, though Paizo renamed them Bloodseekers in 2nd Edition.
