One of the objects most beloved by the men and women of the [[Imperial Guard]] is the Tarantula, an automated gun turret used to defend strategic positions. They may be fitted with either lascannons or heavy bolters. This means that there is a gun defending them from [[Ork|green-skinned soccer hooligans playing Scrapheap Challenge: Barbarian Edition]], crazed [[Chaos]] cultists, or [[Eldar|Space Elf]] [[Dark Eldar|dickholes]] at the front lines, and they don't even have to be in harm's way.
