Xakhun Elves are a minor elf subrace introduced to Dungeons & Dragons in the article "Xakhun Airship: The Elves of the Dusk" in issue #244 of Dragon Magazine.

The Xakhun were the products of a fevered vision felt by a drow priestess of Lloth, who claimed that the Spider Queen had charged the drow of her family, House Xak'Vandiri, to invent a flying ship that would enable them to expand their abilities to conquer the skies over the surface world. Whilst the plan was mechanically possible, the drow hit upon a stumbling block; who was supposed to fly the airships once they were built? The drow couldn't stand sunlight!

Their response? To attack wood elf settlements and carry off young, hearty wood elves. These unfortunates were cruelly bred with their drow captors, the offspring selectively culled and bred, to create a hybrid race that would be loyal to Lloth, but able to withstand the cursed light of the sun.

The Xakhun were the result. Though a select few have managed to flee evil, usually embracing Eilistraee, the bulk of the race are still fanatically loyal to Lloth, and dedicated to spreading her web across the skies.
