Template:Tl is for use in any article about a magic item or artifact within the Pathfinder campaign setting. The parameters (except name) are optional. If left undefined they will not appear.

For mundane items, please use instead Template:Tl; for alchemical items, use Template:Tl; for technological items, use Template:Tl.

This template has been stripped down to include only those essential "crunchy" statistics, and those that are left enable reference against other magic items and easy sorting. All other crunchy details should be omitted.

Parameters

The initial word should usually be capitalized for each parameter.

image (optional)

The title of a File page for an associated image, such as File:Wayfinder 2E.png. Should be given without [[]] or any settings.

name (optional)

The italicized name of the magic item.

Pathfinder Second Edition parameters

traits (optional/2e)

Any Second Edition traits listed for the item as listed. Rarity is important; include Common as a trait even if it is omitted. Use the Template:Tl template for this to create the correct boxes, for instance, {{2eTrait|Magical}}, which provides Template:2eTrait.

level (optional/2e)

The level of the item as listed.

usage (optional/2e)

The usage of the item as listed.

Pathfinder First Edition parameters

aura (optional/1e)

The aura of the magic item as listed. For example: Strong conjuration

cl (optional/1e)

The caster level of the magic item as listed.

slot (optional/1e)

The slot the item occupies as listed. For example: "head", "chest", or "none", if it is a slotless item. Please see Core Rulebook (First Edition) 459 for a full list.

Common item parameters

type (optional)

The type of the item as listed. Examples include (but aren't limited to) weapons, armor, rods, staves, wands, scrolls, potion, wondrous item, or artifacts.

origin (optional)

The geographical location in Golarion with which the item is associated, for example: Osirion.

affiliation (optional)

The deity, item creator, or organization with which the item is associated, for example: Desna.

Common infobox parameters

aon1e, aon2e (optional)

Can contain a link to an Archive of Nethys page, starting after the first slash (e.g. Monsters.aspx?ID=490)

imagesof (optional)

The name of the category that contains images of this magic item, which appears as a link to the category page. For instance, an imagesof value of Template:Xt links to Category:Images of Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga‎ with the link text "Images of Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga‎".

source & page (optional)

The source wherein the item was first mentioned, or from which the most information is available. Link the title, and include page number if possible. Use this only if you have a source and page for either 1E or 2E, but not both.

1e-source, 1e-page, 2e-source, & 2e-page (optional)

The source wherein the item was first mentioned, or from which the most information is available, in both 1E and 2E. Link the title, and include page number if possible. Use this only if you have a source and page for both editions.

footnote (optional)

Additional details about the infobox, such as additional sources, canon or mechanical changes not covered by the infobox's cited sources, or links to canon conflict or Meta namespace pages.
