The only example of a caught Carp. It took 7 lives before being restrained by a powergaming grapplan master

Carp are dread creatures whose origins are lost in the mists of time. They have a horrendous bite that can pierce steel. Their scaly bodies are immune to crossbow bolts. Zombie carp can walk on land and will force their way into your bedroom while you sleep, then wait until you wake up before eating you alive.

Carp are accurately depicted in Dwarf Fortress. Do not go near the river.
