Ciaphas Cain, the Hero of the Imperium, is a hugely popular series of 40k novels by author Sandy Mitchell.
Main Idea
Cain is a Commissar in the 40K universe, his only aspiration is to live the quiet life far in the back with the artillery unit he is assigned to. but his false reputation precedes him and he is always getting into life-threatening situations. he is accompanied by his fragrant aide, Jurgen.
