Daeva

The Daeva are the “Sexy” Clan in Vampire: The Requiem, being very much the romanticised Anne Rice-esque image of the Vampire that the Toreador inhabited in Requiem’s WoD Counterpart (and fittingly, the Toreador are a Daeva Bloodline in VtR). However, like most Clans in Requiem, they are much more open-ended in what they can be like - their only unifying theme is Passion, which encompasses everything from Fierce Brawlers to Sensual Social Butterflies.

Their Bane is that they get addicted easily, often getting way too attached to specific mortals.

Notable Bloodlines

Erzsébet

Inspired by Countess Elizabeth Bathory, alleged to bathe in blood to restore her youth and beauty (for the record, we're pretty sure the blood bathing thing is a myth; if anything, she was just a serial killer), and indeed founded by a woman who claimed to be a descendant of Countess Bathory. The founder, named Syska (but taking on other names as convenient; when she claimed to be Bathory's descendant, she called herself Rózsa), was driven into exile by the older vampires she conned, and she and her childer were dubbed Erzsébet after her claimed founder.

This clan's Bane is that, much like Bathory herself, these vampires age as mortals do, though they do not die of old age. Blood baths do not restore them, however; the only way for their youth to return is to enter Torpor.

Toreador

Basically the good old artsy vampires from Masquerade, ported over to Requiem. Their weakness remains the same; when confronted with something they see as truly beautiful, they become utterly captivated by it and will not willingly break away their attention.
