| This article or section covers stupidly cheesy and/or broken crunch that gives powergamers and munchkins a serious hard-on at the expense of everyone else. It is extremely likely to cause Rage in whoever goes against it.
Infinite Coven is a build created for Pathfinder spellcasters, intended to completely obliterate any target by boosting your caster level to obscene heights. It requires no feats, a single trait, and 1 fairly average priced item combined with 2 levels of Witch (for the 2 Hexes), and at least 9 more levels in a full-caster class (i.e. Wizard). It is game-breaking even at the most basic levels, and far more could be done with it to make it even worse. What follows is a simple, easily attainable version of the build that will still have your GM bashing you in the head with the rulebook. THE BUILD
THE MATHNow that your build is complete, all you need to do is cast Army Across Time when you're ready to roll. Since Army Across Time summons clones of yourself to use Aid Another for you, they'll all have the Coven feat and can add to your caster level. For every clone aiding you, you'll receive a +3 to your caster level for all spells. Here's where the trick comes in: Army Across Time lets you summon another clone AS A FREE ACTION every 3 caster levels, and you get +3 caster levels per clone. This means that you've now turned into a self-replicating ball of caster-colored goo. So cast the spell, rise up into the air, and begin accumulating mass as a free action. Since the Scar Hex buffs your Coven to the range of one mile, this means that your expanding ball of alternate selves can potentially encompass a 1 mile radius sphere. Since every square is 5ft across, this means a radius of 1056 squares. Plugging this into the volume equation for a sphere nets us roughly 4,930,150,072 clones for a bonus of roughly +14,790,450,216 to your caster level. Now if you use a spell like Battering Blast (5d6 force damage, an additional blast every 5 levels) you're getting off 2,958,090,043 spheres for 14790450216d6 of damage at a range of roughly 7 million miles. If you took the optional step of getting Magic Trick (fireball), you're going to be spitting out 7,395,225,108 10ft-radius fireballs at 2d6 each, for a total of 14790450216d6 fire damage over a range of 112,048,865 miles. Have fun obliterating the moon or swathing the entire planet in flames several times over! ADDITIONAL USESThere are actually quite a few spells with infinite scaling that benefit from this build. Here are a few examples:
