Sometimes not being very intelligent helps. Like when you are drop-podding on top of an enemy fortress because that's the fastest way to get into the fray. And into the fray he goes.
Linares is the master of the IVth Legion, renamed the Silver Blades after being reunited with their Lord. Hailing from the techno-feudal world of Kadir, Linares leads the Legion time and again, ignoring pretty much any tactic more complex than a flanking maneuver, but clearing battlefields of enemies with an exterminatus-tier efficence. He only needs the general direction of the enemy, and in the blink of an eye will be found charging at the front of a massive formation of Silver Blades, yelling all kinds of swearings in their local language. As soon as he hits the enemy lines, Linares will swing the Slayer left and right, killing tens of enemies in mere seconds with a skill that borders perfection, getting himself neck-deep into the melee and stopping for nothing. It's not rare to find him soloing Avatars of Khaine and beating enemy generals like if they were mere pawns.
And yet, at the end of the battle will sit somewhere and enjoy a cold beer, a half smile drawn on his face, chatting with the nearest soldier like if they were old friends. That's Linares. The second friendliest killing machine in the Imperium.
