Roland le Marechal is one of the fairly large assortment of special characters for Bretonnia that appeared only in Warhammmer 5th edition and were subsequently removed when it received its more grimdark revamp in 6th edition.

Roland is - or was, during the time of 5th edition - the guardian of the Marches of Couronne, which mark the border between Bretonnia, the Empire, and Marienburg, and constantly strove to push Bretonnia's borders eastwards.

Roland's Warhorn is a unique magical item that, when sounded, can potentially drive all flying enemy units from the battlefield for a time.
