The Sanctus is a type of Genestealer Hybrid assassin that kills anyone who poses a problem to the Cult's activities or its survival. Seriously, as if a normal Genestealer isn't scary or sneaky enough, might as well throw in the Genestealer's equivalent of the Assassinorum while you're at it.
They, like their Abominant, Biophagus, Primus and Magus friends, are able to get their own Genestealer Familiars. Their Soulsight Familliar sports a pretty cool set of night vision goggles, even though Familiars generally lack eyes in the first place. In this case, the Patriarch can see through the eyes of the Familiar to better direct the Sanctus towards its target while it hides in the safety of its Genesis Pool.
Overview
Anyways, in order to meet their agenda or deter prying eyes from their clandestine activities, a Genestealer Cult must sometimes resort to less subtle forms of intervention by eliminating the problem directly. When the Patriarch desires a target slain, it will suffuse its Sanctuses with a trace of the victim's psychic "scent". Their multi-jointed limbs and malleable musculature allows them to squeeze through the tightest spaces and an ability to move in total silence.
Unlike the majority of the Cult's bioforms, Sanctuses are solitary creatures that rarely interact with their broodkin. When they are not hunting, they dwell close to their Patriarch's throne, lurking high in the stanchions above their sire's lair. They wear tri-lens goggles usually stolen from the Departmento Munitorum that allow them to track motion in infrared and subsonic spectrums.
They are able to do their dirty deeds with an anti-psyker sniper rifle converted to fire Needler rounds. Each toxin dart carried by the Sanctus is filled with an alchemical serum brewed by the sect's Biophagus. Engineered from a purestrain Genestealer's blood, this mind-afflicting poison renders its victim a drooling imbecile in seconds. Should their target be a Psyker, the serum also induces a mental overload as the Hive Mind is visited upon them. For close encounters, they also wield an Atrophic Blade that's also a gift from their Patriarch. These blades are grown in a genesis pool that contains the liquefied essence of slain cultists and imbued with alien biomatter. Non-indoctrinated beings struck with these weapons are overcome with agony as a million voices explode inside their minds, often dropping dead on the spot. Wearing camo-cloaks is also a important accessory for the Sanctus to truly remain hidden within the shadows.

Equipped with a Camo Cloak, shooting him is going to be tricky on the tabletop. On top of that, the Sanctus is also rocking an anti Pskyer weapon called the Silencer Sniper Rifle, which on the surface looks like your typical sniper rifle, a 36" Heavy 1, S4, AP-1, D3 weapon, nothing much to talk about until you read its special rules. In which if a Psyker unit loses any wounds as a result of an attack with this weapon, it suffers Perils of the Warp after the attack has been resolved. Oh sweet Emprah, there is finally a unit that can make Grey Knight and Eldar players shit themselves collectively. Man, these rifles must be packin' some heck of a lot of powerful psyk-out ammunition.
And just to make that sniper more terrifying, their Soulsight Familiar lets them ignore cover while making their shots. While those familiars are also able to make some paltry S4 AP- D1 attacks, these are more of an icing upon a cake made of turbo-rape.
If you fancy a more melee options then he can take a knife that always wounds on a 2+ except against Titans and Vehicles, AP-2, D2 and with 5 attacks which hits on a 2+, that is a pretty good bang for your buck if you drop him against some bikers or other elite units.
Oh yeah, and although the Sanctus can never have a Warlord Trait, he at least gets a free 'A Perfect Ambush' Strategem when used. Oh yes, you heard us right, a free 3CP Strategem. Time to Cheese you way up boys.
