The Tau were a barbaric and primitive people when first discovered by humanity but have recently become powerful under the guidance of the "Ethereals" and the concept that they call the "Greater Good". The "Tau Empire" is an army in Warhammer40K. The Tau were a barbaric and primitive people when first discovered by humanity but have recently become powerful under the guidance of the "Ethereals" and the concept that they call the "Greater Good". Unfortunately for the Tau this makes them one of the least GRIMDARK factions in 40K and thus the very mention of them incites nerdrage on /tg/. The fact that Games Workshop admitted to drawing influences from Asian cultures for the design of Tau units has not at all helped cooler heads prevail, rather it has had the opposite effect.
