"You shall know Tsathoggua by his great girth and his batlike furriness and the look of a sleepy black toad which he has eternally."
- – Clark Ashton Smith, The Seven Geases
Tsathoggua is one of the lesser dieties of the Cthulhu Mythos. He was created by Clark Ashton Smith, being introduced in his story "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros", wherein the protagonist stumbles on a abandoned shrine to him. We get to actually meet him in person in Smith's "The Seven Geases".
As far as Old Ones go, he's one of the more banal ones. Having come from Saturn, he resides in the caverns beneath Mount Voormithadreth. He is fat and looks like a cross between a bat and a toad. He is very lazy, spending most of his time sleeping, and preferring to have his human sacrifice meals sent down to him from the surface.
