Twisthammer is the name of a fan-made re-imagining of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, with twenty original-created Legions and their Primarchs replacing their canon counterparts.

The project, created by Midgard, was started sometime in late 2015, with information on all 20 Legions and Primarchs posted, and even a few novels prepared.

As of December 2016, Midgard had decided to discontinue the project due to apparent lack of interest. However, recent posts from the beginning of August suggest that they're preparing to resume progress on the fourth Twisthammer novel, and will likely be received some well-needed help in doing so.
