The Unfleshed are a rejected space marine that is formed in the Eye Of Terror. They are formed using the Daemonculaba, which uses females and stolen gene-seed to create them. The Unfleshed aren't exactly bad, since the helped the Ultramarine Captan, Varro Tigurius. They still believe in the Emperor and have a child-like mind set since they were never educated. Their first time to be seen by Captan Varro Tigurius was when they raided a Iron Warrior base and ate... yes ate other humans. It's not that these childish monsters like eating people at first its that there isn't anything else to eat in the Eye Of Terror. Some are not able to move due to birth disaffects and some are insanely muscular. They have no skin which gives them the name the unfleshed, but considering the ground where they live is as sharp as shards of glass it guess you the assumption that their muscles are crazy tough. Its also started that their muscles acted as armor and can even stop small arms fire.

They are made with no skin upon them, hence their name, and since they don't pass the Warsmith's standards for murderous tanks of doom, they're forced to live without skin.  Apparently, since they've been able to have a sizable enough population, it's possible that their muscles are as hard as iron or that they are completely dulled to pain.
 
Aparently, they are capable of believing in the [[God-Emperor of Mankind]], as they asked [[Ultramarines]] Captain [[Uriel Ventris]] for His forgiveness for being abominations, and suggests that they have a child-like mind set since they are literal man-children. In a way, it makes one feel kinda sorry because they are literally unwanted abominations that were forcibly brought into this world, and they just want to die.
