The following extract is taken from the barely comprehensible information provided by Gertlend’s private journal and the interpretations of events from his unknown ghost scribe in the early edition of Gertlend’s memoires. One can assume the record of events was given a slight polish for reader’s enjoyment and Gertlends own egotistical pleasure. Any self-respecting member of the Imperium will find the language used in the text bordering on the blasphemous. Whilst we can thank the Emperor this book will never see publication, it remains the only first-hand account of the discovery of the first tomb on Ti’Anxia.

Arlmond Gertlend was awoken by the bitter taste of earth and blood.

It wasn’t the first time he had experienced it, the last such instance involved a pissed off crew and enough alcohol that even the Emperor himself would wake up next to some hiveworld whore with questionable personal hygiene standards .

This time it was different.

Rolling to his side, Arlmond held his cracked ribs and let out a string of profanity that would likely cause an inquisitorial investigation if he was in the company of more honourable men. Thankfully he was not. The cloud of sand that filled the cave began to settle and Arlmond wiped away the blood and dust from his eyes with a torn cloth he found to his side. It was only after his vision returned he realised that the cloth he had used was worn by a miner just a few moments ago and still had some remnants from its previous owner attached.

He fought back the urge to vomit but failed. Then came the buzzing, his hearing was returning along with a headache that could kill a cave-worm or two . It didn’t matter. Arlmond’s eyes were drawn to something in the distance. Just past the fallen debris, past the team of men trying to pull out a man whose legs had become trapped under a very big rock. A fantastic green glow emitted from a symbol of unknown origin. “What in the Emperors name?” wheezed Arlmond, as he felt a warm stream of blood slowly sliver down the side of his face.

Then he collapsed, the world around him fading into an ever deepening chasm of blackness and the taste of earth and blood still on his tongue.

General Fluff

Deep within the outskirts of Subsector Yamato lies planet Ti'Anxia a barren desert world, undisturbed for untold millenia. Unbeknownst to Baron Paral Von Hoskarl and Rogue trader Arlmod Gertlend , they had stumbled upon one of the eight tombs of this world.

The "Warriors of the Eight Tombs" are a Necron Tomb world assembly Led by Kaar, The Hand of Unity. Self appointed Lord of the Eight Tombs, Emperor of Ti'anxia a Platinum Level Lord.

So Far we Have Karr - Pictured Right (Based on a Tomb Spyder body)

First rendition of Kaar, the Hand of Unity

8 different Gold Lords subservient to Kaar - 1 running each tomb like the 8 Immortals of Zui Quan. (Based on the Old Chinese Mythos of the "Eight Immortals")

Battle Tactics

Destroyers that outflank and confuse the enemy, running rings around them and firing into their ranks, before Flayed ones crawl out from amongst them and The Immortals begin the solemn, deadly march forward. (Based on the Battle tactis of the First Emperor of China, also the basis for the army as a whole)
