The Zaratan (plural Zaratani) is a gargantuan sea turtle 200 to 350 feet in diameter, originating in the Al-Qadim sub-setting. Much like the original Norse legends of the Kraken, Zaratani spend most of their time asleep floating on the surface, and are so huge that their shells act as artificial islands, complete with sand, trees and rocks.
