Rough notes. Timeline of major events needs to be worked out.

The Beginning Of Time

• In a moment of perfect beauty, the divine creators of the Universe breathe life into their greatest creation, the Doobies.

Many thousands of years ago

• Draconian race rules supreme.
• Draconians discover existence of the Gentry. The war begins.
• Draconian Bahamut creates Reis, the first of the Faestir.
• Corgryn race created by the Gentry.
• Vaess uth Bahamut created as elite troops.
• Vaess uth Bahamut create necromancy as a weapon for dealing with Gentry.
• Gentry becomes bored and the war ends. Draconians proclaim themselves victorious.
• The Scaled Court descends into madness.
• Bahamut wars with other Draconian sorcerers.
• End of the Draconians. Many were presumably killed by Vaess uth Bahamut.
• Reis and the surviving Faestir leave the Vaess behind and travel into the desert to the northwest.
• Elven civilization rises.
• Elves evolve into FLYING ELVES!
• Goblins rise to power.

Thousands of years ago

• The Big Fuckup occurs.
  • Goblin civilization devastated by necromantic disaster. Homeland sinks beneath the waves in the Sea of Ghosts.
  • Necrostorms unleashed.
  • Water level drastically raised, flooding coastlines and creating the swamps of Vekshimar Uresh, Jiar-Jia, and the Dead Swamp.
  • Flying elf cities crash and burn.
• Naga creats Heloraen Vosilea.
• Kobold horde, under the direction of Tiamat, destroys Opossokarthel. Less than a thousand survivors abandon their desert home to the Kobolds.
• Bejwaer established.
• Tiamat abandons Kobolds, who split up into numerous camps. Each with a terrible fear of anything draconian.

Recent History

• -200: Achaen king dies without clear heir. Vyntril and Gorgossa both lay claim to the kingdom. War of Achaen Succession triggers conflicts across Solaris.
• -180: Treaty of Federation ends Solaris conflicts. Solus emerges as the dominant power and forms the Federated Kingdoms of Solaris. Vyntril and Gorgossa forced to join at swordpoint. Other nations either allied with Solus or eager for conflict to end. A new age (for humans at least) of exploration, colonization and conquest begins.
• -160 to -140: Golden Age of Human Exploration. Economic boom caused by peace and increased trade channeled into overseas trade, exploration and colonization. Engelhafen freeport founded in Everoc.
• -148: Humans "discover" Lindwurm, but do not claim it after objections from other powers.
• -100 to -90: General Rain rises to power and unites the sergal under her banner.
• - 90 to -85: Sergal Empire conquers everything in sight. Rest of world craps pants.
• -70: General Rain vanishes after thirty years of rule. Sergal expansion ends.
• -38: Vyntril Revolution. A corrupt Oligarchy is replaced with a truer and more open form of democracy.
• -8: Osroene achieves independence.

Other things that happened- Need to be placed in a time category

• We need some arbitrary year zero for fluff purposes. Referencing events as 40 or 400 years ago doesn't have the same zing as 1297 or 832. Ideally it should be an event big enough that all races would acknowledge it.

Perhaps the sinking of the Goblin continent, flooding of all the coastlines, birth of Bongo Bongo, and crash of all the elf cities is sufficiently "big"?
