Setting:Warhammer 40,000 for pokemon tabletop united

this is the page i have created for warhammer 40,000 with pokeymans! i will be the project organizer and one of the fluff writers. the first section will be all about the project. then the second will be a description of the changes to the 41st millenium to facilitate the pokemon parts. part 3 will be a description of all the factions and their stance on pokemon and the various facets of the topic (this will be written from a in-universe perspective) chaos will have its own section (because chaos is chunky) and last few sections will be whatever we need them to be. because this project is related to pokemon and warhammer 40,000 expect *some* derp and skub in conversations (but not from me) (idk im prepared for the worst)

About this "project"

This project originated in the mind of savagereaper when after playing pokeymans vidyas he played a game of kill team (the orks vs death guard if you are interested) and it clicked: put pokemon in the world of warhammer 40,000 and see what sticks. so he went on /tg/ as you do when you have an epiphany and blabbed about it to fellow neckbeards (probbably you guys) and this page was born. he talked to his bro in real life (are you jealous im not alone?) and had some ideas and started working on a sketch (it'l be finished tonight) but then went to bed (it was late) so here we are now. diffrences from vanilla

because pokemon have been injected into the setting of warhammer 40,000 we need to account for some things. 1. who has pokemon? what pokemon are allowed for people to have in the imperium? answer: pretty much everyone has one or two pokemon at their disposal but, not everyone uses them to battle. some have them to assist with menial labor, for example lots of machops machokes and machamps are employed in the astra millitarum to assist with loading munitions. electric type pokemon are unfortunatley not seen as much more than glorified mobile power generators. the guard may hook up poor raichu to a lascannon to power it if there is no other options for electricity because big guns must never tire. also the imperium may use certain pokemon to aid them in battle using the specific advantages granted by that pokemon. for example onyx can dig tunnels under enemy lines to flank the enemy with. but you can be BLAMMMED for having certain pokemon youre not supposed to have. there are certain laws dictating what kind of pokemon trainers are allowed to have. for example: any psychic pokemon are confiscated and placed on the black ships to go to holy terra because 1,000 psykers pokemon or not are needed for the service of the emperor. those that are not sacrificed to the emperor end up in the service of astropaths and other sanctioned psykers. other pokemon that are heresy are pokemon tainted by chaos (more on that later) any pokemon with a mark of chaos are BLAMMED on sight. also some pokemon are considered filthy xenos (also more on that) 2. what pokemon are involved in warfare? well almost all species, especially powerful ones (you wont be seeing jigglypuff fighting heretics alongside the guard) for example: charizard might use its flamer-like abilitties to fry a swarm of hormagaunts. others arent ususally directly involved with fighting. like the aforementioned raichu abra may supplement the psychic powers of a sanctioned psyker or a space marine librarian. or they may be placed in more mundane battlefield roles. its not uncommon for a rather humanoid-looking pokemon to be handed some flak armor and a lasgun and shoved out into the field often with dubious results. (expect a hilarious sketch.) (lulz) 3. pokemon healthcare? human healthcare?? because of the grimdark nature of the setting im basing this on and due to a fact human healthcare is already held in low regard in the 41st millennium dont expect much more for pokemon. the few pokemon centers are usually in the top of a hive city or at the center of a community and all of the pokemon centers are under the supervision of the adeptus mechanicus. the tecnology used to heal pokemon is usually considered HOLY and is ill-understood and spread thin. for those without access to a pokemon center. old-fashioned medicine will have to do for healing pokemon. bandages, painkillers, anything in a standard medkit shouid do. 4. does the imperium see some pokemon as xenos? yes. the imperium usually has pretty vague policies on what pokemon are considered xenos. elgeyem and beheyem are definite examples. its really up to the gm. 5. are there pokemon gyms? there are gyms. not every planet has them and they are usually attached to space marine fortress-monestaries or schola progeniums or a chapel or in some cases they are the chapel. 6. how are pokeballs manufactured? the secrets of pokeball manufacture are held by the adeptus mechanicus and pokeballs are the largest non-millitary export of forge worlds. pokeballs actually store pokeballs in the warp but due to the adeptus mechanicus's poor understanding of the technology they don't know this. they only know how to put pokeballs together. not how they work, the secret will likely be lost forever although the dark mechanicum probbably knows this. 7. what about the adeptus mechanicus? the adeptus mechanicus havent been changed much from vanilla, seeing as the main job of the mechanicus is to provide the imperium with tech. while the major expor of forge worlds are weapons for the imperial guard. devices for use with pokemon are also manufactured such as diffrent types of pokeballs but also potions and other devices. the adeptus mechanicus tech-preiests utilize and worship rotoms while performing their duties they belive rotoms are the machine sprit given form. and every tech-preist is requiered to own a rotom and pray to it every day so it will assist the tech-preist in his duties. 8. what about chaos? chaos is diffrent from vanilla by having warp-tainted pokemon and pokemon from the warp. every god has a favored pokemon species. for example: khorne favors aggron for its power and capacity for bloodshed tzeench favors alakazam for its cunning and psychic power slannesh favors salazzle well because... read the pokedex entries. and nurgle favors koffing because of the poisons and diseases inside its body but nurgle equally favors muk. the heresy still happened so chaos space marines still exist. pokemon given the mark of chaos have been chosen by their patron god. but non-evil specimens of the species above still exist though. but when they have been marked the star of chaos appears on the body of the pokemon in question and then it is compelled to seek out the forces of chaos and commit violent acts. 9. what about the pc? the pc system is utilized exclusively by the adeptus mechanicus and the administratum. the pc is navigated using a complex system of commands on a command line to remove pokemon from the memory banks of the cogitator. only a handful of pokemon can be stored at a time in a small cogitator. in larger ones there can be dozens stored at any given time. if someone without a high enugh technology education rank attemts to use the pc unless he is lucky something will go wrong. there will be a table provided for this later. 10. wut bout da orks? da orks not mukkin about wiv dem pokeymans like da umiez ar usin we orks iz still wastin umiez proppa wiv dakka and choppaz! squigz arent da pokeymans like da umiez ar finkin deyz kloser 2 da orkz dan da dum pokeymans! orks is da bestest in da whole wurld and da pokeymans isnt changin it anytime soon! damn roight!

imperium of man:

man has been employing pokemon since time on earth began. pokemon in the age of the 41st millenium have it rough. trainers constantly demand the pokemon to perform manual labor and battle with very little time to rest. in he upper echelons of imperial society pokemon lead pampered lives with decadent pleasures at every turn for pokemon belonging to planetary governors or nobles pokemon are also used in full scale warfare as well. space marine chapters live with their pokemon and fight alongside them in batrle to defend the imperium from evil xenos and chaos incursions as well as the aforementioned guardsman pokemon pokemon and pokemon penal legions where as part of a worlds tithe to the imperium they must provide soldiers for the defense of the imperium be they pokemon or not. or delequent or stray pokemon concripted into the pokemon penal legions sent into battle to die. the administratum utilizes pokemon as part of their duties for examples litwik and chandelure are popular choices for administratum adepts.  because they can memorize the path through millions of miles of red tape to find the desired records. the inquisition sometimes uses the aura reading (scanning the souls of people in the warp) powers of certain pokemon to determine if someone is innocent or not.
