The AMX-10 RC is an amphibious reconnaissance car with a 105mm cannon and aluminum armored plating that protects up to 23mm shells; while it wont stop a tank shell, most other vehicles in its class don't pack anything bigger than a 20mm gun. It first saw action in 1983 in the Republic of Chad, but got its real debut in Operation Desert Storm, where they protected the coalition's left flank and destroyed 20 Iraqi tanks outright, plus many more light vehicles and artillery pieces. | |||
