Shadow Era is an online card game similar to Magic: The Gathering.

Players pick their deck type from the available "race options" and challenge others to a 1 on 1 game of cards. Cards, booster packs and pre-built decks can be bought from the game shop using either in-game currencies earned from winning duels or buying said currencies with actual shekels. Paying players might have more efficient decks, but the majority of the playerbase is probably poor BRs and Russians so I wouldn't worry too much.

Player decks have only one limitation: You can't have more than 4 copies of a single card. Otherwise, you can have a deck of 1000 cards, if you win enough golds.

Getting good at the game involves min-maxing your deck and out-bullshitting other decks. Like M:TG.

It's a fun waste of time between games.

Tips

  • After leveling 4 times, you will have earned 100 shadow crystals, with which you can purchase one of the pre-built decks or booster packs.
  • You can't mix race decks, so buy a pre-built deck with your first shadow crystals and sell the extra cards you can't use or don't need.
  • You can buy single cards with the in-game gold. So consider selling cards that hold you back and buying good ones to replace them.
  • Wulven and Mages are overpowered. Pick one of those.
