Unlike the inwardly directed nihilism of the Bleak Cabal that espouses that "Nothing inherently makes sense", the philosophy of the Doomguard is outwardly focused on the concept of "Nothing lasts forever". They hold decay and entropy to be sacred. The very nature of things is to become undone. Mountains erode, forests blight, and we all wither away eventually turning to dust.
