The Lady of the Lake is the truly unimaginative Goddess of the Bretonnian knight army in Warhammer Fantasy. While everyone in the army is ripped off pretty much from arthurian legend (except adding a factor of grimdark to the knights and peasants times ten), the Lady needs no pointing out who they are trying to cope here; heck it is not surprising to hear newbies getting confused as why the Lady jumped over to the warhammer world.

The Lady is the Goddess of all bretonnia, and represents nobility, honour, courage and slaying stuff. Indeed, she may seem all serene and everything but her most dedicated worshippers are warriors after all. She secretly loves the sight of blood.

She had the ability to grant chosen knights a portion of her might when they drink from her funky chalice. While they should awesome in the books, with all these great powers, in practice on the field they are just a bit more of an elite cavalry unit able to strike at magical beings.

Many sources claim the Lady is a lie and really it is Ariel of the Wood Elves who is the true power behind her. She is using the bretonnians as a buffer to protect her people. Neither side has been proven false so far but considering how grimdarky the second option is, it will probs be that one.
