Southlands
The Southlands are the Warhammer World's analogue to Africa. It's often stated that it's not a part of the Old World, which in Warhammer universe is mostly just Europe.
In a list-like order, here is the Warhammer Southlands nations at their real world equivalents:
- Nehekhara: Pretty much real-life Ancient Egypt, may be considered even more prosperous than its counterpart, at least before Nagash fucked everything up. Now it's just a desert where undead Pharaohs chill, and where Settra the Imperishable is trying to restore the glory and might of his country. A natural magnet for both Human and Dwarven avanturists, though most of them never even return home.
- Araby: Well... Araby, what do you expect? Pretty much a complete expy, even having monotheism and Crusades in the backstory. They have Chaos genies flying carpets that's all folks
- Lizardmen jungles: The southern part of the area, the complete copy of Lustria. Has Triceratopses instead of regular T-Rexes. Nuff said
- Badlands: Some kind of Middle East mostly covered with steppes, deserts and mountains, with Orcs and Goblins warring there all the time.
- Marshes of Madness: Creepy swamp in the middle of Badlands, where Strigoi and Warhammer gypsies originated from.
