Nobody really expects anything to happen here. However, unbeknownst to the majority of the world, all of the hicks in Wyoming have gathered together and pooled their resources in a massive, statewide community. Every citizen has about 50 guns now with thousands of rounds of ammunition of all kinds. They have cows and should survive any nuclear fallout or winter that could hit them. Most likely going to be the people to recreate the world after the end.
