The Strongest Vampire Quasi-Mage
This is new model of super-powered character, capable of obliterating Multiverse, and damaging Macroverse and Omniverse, with power of science and magic combined. Originally made for Old World of Darkness vampire character, but it turned out what character can be made in many TTRPG's.
In other words, this is the strongest "Bomb-Bomb" type character. He has great utility - but piss him off, and he'll blow up entire Solar System with scientific BS (e.g. microscopic black hole, anti-matter, microscopic black hole made from anti-matter, anti-matter charge with density of Big Bang, abuse of mass-less particles, etc).
Original talk about him ("New OP character build; Old World of Darkness Super-Scientist")
Once upon the time, i read the TvTropes Old World of Darkness Game-Breakers - about Tremere's Path of Conjuring Discipline allowing to conjure antimatter, machinery, blood and other things. It had limit of size and mass of a character, but you could build things part-by-part. And that's possible at chargen. And he can create blood (probably his own blood) to fill his Blood Points faster than he spends them. To increase the variety of things he can create, you must add points to Science.
And i made it stronger - by using actual science. You can see it There, there and there, in russian language. Basically, i used a lot of things from science, including theoretial ones; the black holes with mass of a character made of antimatter were only the start of those things. Those includes theoretical chemical materials, a atom with so many elementary particles in it what that atom alone weights as much as a character, collapsed matter, matter made entirely of neutrons, elementar particles, materials with obscene cost, and more.
The strongest «conventional» munition is Antimatter GUT Round, right from Xeleeverse — pellet with the mass-energy density of Big Bang (approximately 10-36 seconds at the beginning of time — maybe just on Beginning of Time). I could also try to read about other superpowered «conventional» munitions from Xeleeverse — some of them are even stronger. However, while it's more than enough to cause Exterminatus, it's not enough to destroy Entire Universe, because we have limit of Player Character's mass. Therefore, i went to circumvent the «mass» problem.
Then, i remembered: I didn’t have a cap some elementary particles - namely, photons (light), gluons (strong nuclear interaction), gravitons (gravity) - do not mave mass, and also have no volume. So i can create an infinitely big amount of them. Some physical items like quantum foam, physical fields and cosmic strings also have no mass.
More over - tachyons have mass equal to complex number - meaning, their square of mass is less than 0, and there was a -1 somewhere in that - in other words, it seems like their mass is not positive and not 0, meaning it's negative; that means i can create an infinite amount of them, gaining infinitely many negative mass, and then use it to create infinitely many of other things with positive mass.
Then, i came with idea what there's nothing stated about speed of things created. An uneducated man could create an dumbbell with hypersonic speed to create a big boom. A smart man like me can make all those things be created at infinite speed - because, that's vampire magic - in this thought experiment, i'm capable of both using laws of physics to my advantage when i need it, and send them to Hell when they are inconvenient for me. The closer something is to speed of Light, the slower time moves for it - so, if something moves through time faster than light, it would move backwards in time. Because it is infinite speed, it would move both in space and time at infinite speed, backwards in both. Because temperature is movement of particles, such doom wave would have infinite temperature.
There's how the attack would look like: player character would crouch, and Conjure two hollow spheres, with yourself in the hollow part. Both spheres are made of infinitely big amount of mass-less particles (photons, gluons, gravitons), other mass-less things, tachyons, and ("outweighed" by tachyon's complex number/negative mass) dangerous mass-full things (black holes made of antimatter, elementary particles, strange chemical sumstances, ETC). One sphere has all this moving at speed of Light, while other has all that moving at infinite speed, backwards in time.
There's what happens: all this messy crap scientific stuff ("супер-колдунство", as i called it; a rough translation would be "super-wizardy", "super-magic", "super-witchcraft", ETC - russian language is poetically polysemantic) is infinitely potent and strong, has infinite energy, and after additions of tachyons+mass-full things, infinitely heavy. Anything hit by it instantly gets destroyed; no one can even know it's going, because no one can see faster than light, not to mention have that fast reaction. Everything hit gets desintegrated to elementary particles, gets caught up to this wave of doom, gets accelerated to speed of it, and continues moving with in as part of it.
The infintely-fast "супер-колдунство" instantly destroys everything in bast of the World of Darkness multiuniverse - that destroys the Space-Time Continuum itself, as there's enormous paradox caused by literally everything in the multiverse getting destroyed, and also infinitely big amount of infinitely fast tachyons. Then, both inicial bang and everything destroyed by it moves to the very first point of time, when the Multiverse of World of Darkness was created by some sort of God; logically, there is a superior, massive Macroverse, what houses all those Gods and countless Multiverses. Well, infinitely fast blast moves there, continuing it's glorious rearwards strategical offensive. It could, in theory, destroy other multiuniverses (theoretically, even other franchises/works entirely) and harm (or even kill) Gods; while truely all-mighty Gods (like God from Abrahamic Religions) are immune to even this kind of attacks, and can protect things from the blast, anyone weaker than them can get seriously injured. And, considering what Gods didn't directly intervene into World of Darkness, they are pretty passive, and therefore would most likely just passively see how Macroverse gets nuked, only protecting their Multiverses (if they would even do that at all). The our Demiurg would get both a ton of respect (that's really awesome bang, and gorgeous display of power) and a ton of disapproval (nuking entire Macroverse is bad, nuking other Gods and Multiverses belonging to someone else is also bad) - "Just 1 my mortal, weak even by standards of my other mortals, had done this much destruction! Think about how much things i can do personally!". Basically, amount of damage there depends on how eager Gods will be to stop the blast. Doing damage to Omniverse as a whole is also possible.
More over - the character what casted that could even survive, if he, upon creating the "супер-колдунство", immediatly teleported somewhere where it won't get him (like non-material planes and Afterlife). But beware - every plane or universe what ever had a portal connecting it with "realspace" will also got destroyed by that death wave.
After i came with that idea of how to nuke entire Macroverse and part of Omniverse, i was thinking on what other characters could do this. Mage could do that - that would also add an infinitely-strong magical paradox to it for more destruction (or alternatively, there would not be any Paradox, because everyone who could see it would got nuked before they could understand what is happening). Changeling could do that too, as they are also capable of creating things - at least in their fey dimension of sorts.
Then i came up with idea: that's not restricted to World of Darkness! In nearly any Tabletop Role-Playing Game, where player character can conjure things magically one way or another, you could find a way to cast "супер-колдунство"-Omniversal Death Wave of Omnidirectionality. Just any - give me examples of spells in those games, and if they have a variant of "conjure something", that will probably work.
On top of that, i didn't played World of Darkness. More over - i didn't yet played any TRPG. Meaning - i managed to break the entire genre without even playing it.
Short summary
This character build uses a spell what can conjure anything - with only limits being size, weight (and in other settings, conjuring magic items). This character conjures infinite amount of mass-less substances, like mass-less particles (photons (light), gluons (strong nuclear interaction), gravitons (gravity)), and other such things (quantum foam, physical fields and cosmic strings). Also, he conjures infinite amount of tachyons, what have mass equal to complex number (square root of mass is less than 0; and there was a -1 somewhere in that, as if they were equal to square root of -1), what essentially behave as if they had negative mass (square root of positive mass will be positive - so, they are definitely not positive mass). What nets him infinite minus of mass, what he can use to create infinite amount of things with positive mass - like, black holes made of antimatter.
All of that is arranged in two formation of 2 hollow spheres moving outwards, one at at speed of light and other at infinite speed (this is magic; so you can use physics when it's convenient and screw them when it's not), with the character himself in that hollow part. The part moving at infinite speed will move back in time (that's how relativity works; the closer you are to speed of light, the slower time moves - so if you used magic to screw physics and go faster than light, you would start moving back in time), destroying everything they hit. Essentially, it destroys literally everything in past, and present/future gets destroyed by time paradoxes. It can destroy multiverse and other universes, maybe even Macroverse and Omniverse.
Stopping or surviving it would be pretty much impossible: not only it has effectively infinite energy and mass, it also has things utilized in many physical processes (atomic nuclear interaction, gravity, time, quantum mechanics, ETC) - meaning, literally anything hit by it gets disintegrated, and it's particles get moved along the wave. On top of that, you can't properly do anything to that doom wave, because it moves at infinite speed, backwards in time, what makes it pretty much impossible to react to, and even if you was that fast, you still couldn't do anything about it if you are moving forwards in time.
Destroying it is impossible: while in some cases magically-created things can be dispelled (like in World of Darkness with Path of Conjuration), normal matter can't be deleted from existence (that's how physics work) - while initial doom wave is made of conjured matter, along the way it collects and assimilates real matter, as it instantly disintegrates and assimilates everything from Universe, what is infinite - what results in doom wave having infinite "true" mass. Not only that, but even casting things on doom wave before it destroys you would be nearly impossible due to it's infinite speed and backwards time travel. And wave of doom effectively has infinite energy and infinite mass (both positive and negative) - meaning, you need infinitely powerful magic to even try to damage it.
Essentially, this "Суперколдунство" is equivalent of "Creation-Slaying Oblivion Kick" - except stronger, usable in any system what allows you to conjure things via magic, and a lot more easily available - to the point of being doable from chargen in Old World of Darkness.
In setup, you could place «doom spheres of mass-less particles heading outwards» explained above, between your PC in hollow part, and mass-full things you make. In that case, all dangerous stuff will be blown away via wave of mass-less particles, and your PC would be unharmed. It would allow to add mass-full things to the setup, and still make PC survive.
You could make all this even more destructive by adding a single red quark to the setup. That would violate colour symmetry of quarks, and therefore mess up laws of physics; most likely, it would result in a lower vacuum state, what would also go in wave around the Universe - instantly, or not. In other words, not only everything in Universe would be destroyed, but laws of physics would also be altered. Said "Big Slurp" was already seen in "Harry Potter And The Methods Of Rationality", chapter 119. This build even got written to TvTropes.
Setup №2: Blowing up the Entire Universe without defying physics
"You can't make those particles move FTL by breaking physics. There are some workarounds for FTL, like moving the space around item itself, going to alternate dimension, or just re-writing laws of physics. But you shouldn't be able to make things move FTL without workarounds; and since your character is a scientist, he with his Paradigm knows what things can't move FTL without workarounds.".
So, in those cases, we have a more scientifically plausible method. The old method with infinite amounts of mass-less things can be made even better.
Slightly unscientific variant: We create infinite amounts of things with mass equaling complex number (e.g. Tachyons), so we get infinite «ballast» of negative value of mass. Then, we create infinitely heavy object of infinitely small size (even more small than plack value — like Big Bang) — said object could be made of antimatter — or even half matter half antimatter — or 1 half normal matter 2 halves antimatter. Also, soup up all this with infinite amounts of mass-less things — like Photons, Gluons, Gravitons. And all of this has infinite temperature.
This variant would explode and eventually demolish the Entire Universe, and as matter and antimatter annihilate, entire Universe would consist entirely of energy, with no meaningful amounts of matter to be found. However, this method won't be able to destroy Omniverse or Space-Time Continuum, and the like. But it's most likely moves at Speed of Light — so, it would take incredibly long time to even get to Proxima Centaura (the normal and 100% scientifically accurate «infinite amount of mass-less things on normal speed» also has this problem). A great achievement nonetheless.
We could also try to create object with negative mass (the real deal, not "complex number mass" Tachyons, what behave like having Negative Mass for all practical intents and purposes — negative mass and complex number mass are a little bit different in some regards), for "mass ballast" — but such object are, in our time, only exist in thought experiments; so either you couldn't create them, or they would require huge Science level. Other types of Exotic Matter would also be very helpful for magical conjuration purposes; Tachyons are also Exotic Matter, and exist only hypothetically.
Scientific for real
So, 100% scientifically accurate variant: we get infinite amounts of all mass-less things we can remember (Photons, Gluons, Gravitons). Everything is of infinite temperature. Optionally, add finite amounts of mass-full substances; preferably, a black hole made of antimatter, with mass of a character and infinitely small size. Then, crouch, and make mass-less infinite energy doom wave in shape of hollow sphere moving outwards, with PC in the hollow part, and mass-less doom wave between PC and mass-full doom things. It would eventually destroy the Universe, though it would need astronomical amounts of time to do this. And your PC would survive - since mass-less particles doom wave would push that microscopic super-dense antimatter black hole away from you, so it wouldn't harm you.
SVQM vs Cain
While you could apply Lord British Postulate to this situation, the short answer is: "That's PC power level at which Cain should actually take seriously; Cain still wins most of the time, but PC actually have chances to kill him, albeit while dying himself".
The "Infinitely many mass-less particles", be it variant moving forwards or backwards in time, deals infinite damage - and Cain, as strong as he is, most likely doesn't have infinite HP (See, it's not infinite - just absurdly big). But there's some ways to evade the attack; for example, teleport inside part of sphere where doom wave has already passed - bypassing it and jumping to safety. Cain can do everything any other vampire can do, but better - so, he'll definitely find a way to survive.
And even if you did kill him, the Mark of Cain means anything you do to him is done back over to you seven times, so you're still fucked. What isn't a big deal - since, in many loadouts, PC is getting killed by "Doom Wave" anyways: PC couldn't survive "Black Hole made of Anti-Protons, with density of Big Bang and mass of a man" exploding in his face; "Doom wave moving backwards in time" would result in time continuum and Universe being destroyed, what PC obviously couldn't survive, as he himself is part of said continuum.
- This guarantees what PC is pretty much dead if he does this. If "doom wave" hits Caine or other powerful entity, PC gets killed by recoil. If "doom wave" doesn't hit Caine or other powerful entity, then said entity would wake up, and possibly punch PC in the face for what he has done, what PC couldn't do anything about other than launch another doom waves.
Except, as Eggman said in one meme, you could go higher! Since "Doom wave" is going in all directions and has infinite damage, it's likely to hit deities, gods, eldrich abominations and other such super-powered things. Many of them are strong but not omnipotent - so, unless they can even react to this and think up a method of surviving it, they'll be blasted out of existence. In "Going Backwards in Time at Infinite Speed", it goest to the point of said "Doom Wave" going beyond the point where Universe was created, and therefore escaping into "Macroverse", what houses all those Gods and countless Multiverses; it may destroy a few gods or multiverses, but at THIS point, local "extra-global" gods are so absurdly powerful, what they're capable of dealing with "Infinitely Strong Doom Wave What Moves Backwards In Time At Infinite Speed".
Since Old World of Darkness has Afterlife, (mis)adventures of SVQM would continue even after his death. Most people couldn't blame world destruction on SVQM, since they would get killed before they even react. Also, would want to: 1) check if Vampire powers work in afterlife and 2) since some other dimensions and planes of existence may survive, what is going to happen in them after "Doom Wave" incident?
Now, about other Lord British Postulate targets: Elminster and Darklord would have in roughly same situation as Caine - they're dead if they're hit with Doom Wave, but each has his own tricks and abilities to dodge/negate/counter the Doom Wave. Pun-Pun can do everything SVQM can do, but not vice-versa; Pun-Pun is not affected by Doom Waves, as he has absurd amount of immunities and imperviousnesses, and can go back in time to save his past self from "Infinitely Strong Doom Wave What Moves Backwards In Time At Infinite Speed". Lady of Pain is even stronger, and definitely not beatable; She has even more ways to evade or counter the "Infinitely Strong Doom Waves".
Setup №3: Counter-argument setup
A version capable of functioning even with frugal interpretation of what constitutes an "object", and still blow up the Earth as a minimum.
For easy-to-describe objects capable of doing more damage than Astatine slab of same mass: microscopic black hole, antimatter, microscopic black hole made of anti-protons, microscopic black hole made of electrons. But we're going higher.
We'll use densely packed electrons or anti-protons; in other words, take maximum possible amount of electrons or anti-protons (our player character's mass in our case), and "cram" it into object with density of Big Bang. Electrons and anti-protons repulse each other with unbelievable strength - as while our object is smaller than Moon, it's as dense as Big Bang, so it still has unbelievable energy stored inside; combine that with microscopic black holes exploding into Hawkins radiation (and our object is a hypertrophy of a black hole - as it's actually more dense than "normal" black hole), and what antimatter annihilates with matter into massive explosion (anti-protons are antimatter counterpart of protons). That results in a really big explosion - that should be enough for destroying Earth and most of Solar System, and may wreck the nearby stars.
- To understand how strongly electrons and anti-protons repulse: pile of electrons the size and mass of the Moon (10^52 electrons) has energy, comparable to mass and energy of entire visible Universe combined. Our object has mass of a man, but is as dense as Big Bang - as mass of electron is (9,1093837139(28)⋅10^−31), the human-mass of electrons in would be about 10^32 electrons - or, in other words, equivalent to at least 1/00000000000000000000 of all energy and mass in Observable Universe. But likely even more, because they're crammed into object with density of Big Bang - cue stronger force of repulsion.
Since this is just a "hyper-dense point" without any complex parts (like gears or electronics), it's a simple object. So it's possible to permanently create it with just 2 points of Creation - and if you only want to destroy Solar System, 1 point can suffice.
Simpler/Utilitarian uses of SVQM build
"Devious and complicated schemes about destroying the Earth" aren't the only way you can use Parth of Conjuring. Other examples include, but are not limited to:
- Blood, food, oxygen and other consumables: Now vampire doesn't need to hunt for blood, or even go outside; he can just create blood points faster than he spends them. And he can supply other party members this way. That makes it quite easy to be "good vampire" and still survive.
- All sorts of chemicals, compounds and machinery: napalm, drugs, explosives, futuristic weapons. Also vehicle and machinery parts in disassembled state (need assembly first).
- Hyper-dense weapons: this material or compound has density far higher than what's normally seen. For example, if blade weights as normal sword, but is 1000 times denser - it has 1000 times smaller contact area, and cuts 1000 times better. You could even make blade or bullet what is 1-molecule thick, but has weight of normal blade/bullet. Just check whether or not that object is a black hole in a specialized calculator/program - or else you can accidentally make a nuke-like explosion.
