Army Rules

Universal

  • Armor Titanica: The mighty engines of the Imperium are forged with only the most durable of materials and are blessed with centuries of prayers. No evil shall fall these behemoths.
Each time an attack is allocated to a Collegia Titanica model, worsen the Armor Penetration characteristic of that attack by 2.
  • Unyielding Engine of Destruction: In the darkness of the galaxy there is one thing all fear. It’s not the malign entities of the warp. It is not the vast hordes of xenos. It isn’t even the wrath of the emperors remaining sons. In the galaxy, the one thing all fear is the Titan, for they only have three weaknesses. Folly, hubris, or another of their kind.
This model may fire with Heavy weapons while it's within engagement range without suffering a penalty to their hit rolls and may also fire with Blast weapons while within engagement range of an enemy unit but must subtract 1 from its hit rolls. In addition, unless it's within engagement range of an enemy Titanic unit, this model may fire at other visible enemy units that are not within engagement range of another friendly unit.

Detachment Rules

  • Heavy Reinforcements: These colossal war machines often fight alongside other armies and gladly lend their power for the Emperor or the ruinous powers.
Collegia Titanica Detachments may be taken in an Imperium or Chaos army without preventing other units in that army from gaining access to army-specific bonuses. In addition, Collegia Titanica units still gain benefits from their <Titan Legion> even if they are in a Super-heavy Auxiliary Detachment.
  • Objective Secured: A lowly soldier is powerless to secure a location when a moving fortress stands in his way.
If your army is Battle-forged, all units in a Collegia Titanica Detachments gain this ability. Such a unit that is within range of an objective marker (as specified in the mission) controls the objective marker even if there are more enemy models within range of that objective marker. If an enemy unit within range of the same objective marker has a similar ability, then the objective marker is controlled by the player who has the most models within range of it as normal. This rule may never be negated in any way.
  • Titan Classes: From house-sized walkers to moving fortresses, titans come in all shapes and sizes. None must be underestimated, for they are all harbinger of destruction.
Collegia Titanica units each belong to a class based on their size and firepower. Sometimes, a rule may restrict the use on models of a certain class or higher/lower; when this is the case, follow the table below to see which models can be selected. In addition, models of different classes count as a different number of models when controlling an objective as you can see below.

  • Titan Legion: There exist countless forge worlds, each with its own legion of titans which differ for customs and arts of war.
Units in a Collegia Titanica Detachment gain a Titan Legion; first, chose whether your legion is allied with the Imperium or with Chaos; is if it's the latter, replace all instances of the Imperium keyword from your models with Chaos. Then, chose one Titan Legion from the list below and replace all instances of <Titan Legion> with that Titan Legion's name. Your army can contain only one Titan Legion.
  • Walking Fortresses: For such giant constructs, controlling the battlefield is something done by mere presence alone.
All units in a Collegia Titanica Detachment can hold more than an objective at once. In addition, you always count as controlling one more objective than the number you're currently controlling (the additional objective doesn't count towards missions that target specific objectives such as those in the enemy territory or deployment zone.

Legion Customs

Loyalists

  • Legio Astorum - Warp Runners: The Warp Runners are well-known for setting the tempo of war and marching swiftly to the sound of battle, their god-engines devouring kilometers beneath their massive stride. Astorum princeps call this the "War March," and gladly endure the rigors placed upon both machine and mind to reach the foe sooner.
When a model from this Legion moves or advances, add 4" to the distance it travels.
A model from this Legio may shoot Heavy weapons in a turn in which it Advanced, but must subtract 1 from its hit rolls when doing so.
  • Legio Gryphonicus - War Griffons: Regarded as the greatest and most glorious of the titan legions, the princeps of the War Griffons lead their titan into battle head-on, pushing the enemy with all they have to inspire glory on those fortunate enough to witness them.
Add 1 to wound rolls for attacks made by a model from this Legion while they are within 24" of the target.
When determining which row of the damage table to use for a model of this Legion, consider the model to be on the next higher row instead of the one it currently uses.
  • Legio Ignatum - Fire Wasps: Considering themselves the last remaining true Titans of Mars, the Fire Wasps held a deep loathing for those Titan Legions that renounced their oaths and sided with the Warmaster Horus during the Horus Heresy. Possessed of an abiding hatred for the Traitor Titan Legions, they were quick to adapt their tactics to exploit the Traitors' apparent lust for blood, formulating overlapping fields of fire to punish the overeager.
Add 1 to the Damage characteristic of weapons a model from this Legion is equipped with when the target unit is a Chaos Collegia Titanica
Models from this Legion can re-roll failed hit rolls for ranged attacks if their target is within 36" of at least three models from this Legion.
  • Legio Tempestus - Stormlords: The Legio Tempestus, split between loyalists and traitors, utilize sudden and brutal tactics to decimate the enemy in no time. Those foolish enough to consider themselves at a secure distance from the carnage will quickly found to be surrounded by titans fallen from the heavens to inflict holy retribution.
Before the beginning of the battle, during deployment, you can select up to half the Legio Tempestus models in your army (these models have to be of Support class or less). You can set up this unit in orbital dropships instead of setting it up on the battlefield. If you do, then during the Reinforcements step of one of your Movement phases, you can set up this unit anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 12" away from any enemy models.
When a model from this Legion is set up following the rule above, until the end of the turn, re-roll all failed hit and wound rolls made by that model.
  • Ordo Sinister - Nightmare Titans: A dark legion of an even darker era. Countless rumors circulate around this group and the horrors they house within their chambers and titans themselves. Their god-engines appear alive, screaming with cries of tortured souls and covering the battlefield in a cloud of despair.
Models from this Legion may attempt to deny an enemy psychic power if they are within 24" of the psyker manifesting it.
Each time a model from this Legion suffers a mortal wound caused by a psychic power, roll a die; on a 5+ that wound is not lost.

Traitors

  • Legio Fureans - Tiger Eyes: Attack is the very nature of the Legio Fureans, whose princeps seniores teach that the striking blade triumphs over all. In Titan warfare, this doctrine was expressed as an offensive surge by a Tiger Eyes maniple, hammering their foes with a storm of weapons fire.
Each time a model from this Legion makes a Normal Move, Advances, Falls Back or it makes a charge move, until that move is finished, it can move horizontally and vertically through models and terrain features (it cannot finish a move on top of another model, or its base).
Add 1 to the wound rolls and Damage characteristic for attacks made by a model from this Legion is it's firing all its weapons at the same enemy unit.
  • Legio Magna - Flaming Skulls: X
Add 1 to hit and wound rolls for attacks made by models from this Legion in a turn in which they charged, were charged or performed a Heroic Intervention.
Enemy units may not disengage from model from this Legion.
  • Legio Mortis - Death's Head: X
Unless the Strength characteristic of attacks made against models from this Legion or their void shields is 12 or more, subtract 1 from the wound roll.
At the end of a phase in which a model from this Legion has killed at least two enemy units, that model gains the following special rule: Methodical Destruction: Each time this model makes a ranged or melee attack, an unmodified hit roll of 6 generates one additional hit.
  • Legio Vulcanum - Dark Fire: Following their fall to Chaos, corrupted clone crews linked a Legio Vulcanum maniple together in a disturbing way mere technology could not, and each Titan that fell in battle was keenly felt by its brothers and sisters. So interlinked were the two Legios that their command structure blended together, and in battle, princeps seniores could share tactical information and guide each other's battlegroup without fear of becoming subsumed by another Titan Legion.
Models from this Legion count as always being within range of aura abilities of other Legio Vulcanum models.
When a model from this Legion is destroyed, all other friendly Legio Vulcanum models gain the following special rule: Simpatethic Grief: this model can re-roll failed wound rolls and damage rolls against an enemy unit that has destroyed a friendly Legio Vulcanum model.
  • Legio Vulturum - Gore Crows: The Gore Crows often employed merciless tactics, forcing their foes to retreat into crossfires that ensured none survived. Legio Vulturum also possessed an intense culture of competition, leading their princeps to push themselves beyond reason in an effort to claim kills that would bring them the greatest glory. The Gore Crows were often a vessel for experimentation, lavished upon with esoteric weapons created within the forge-fanes of Xana II and tested upon the fiercest of battlefields.
Add 1 to the wound roll for attacks made by a model from this Legion if the target is a Infantry or Beast unit.
Once per battle, a model from this Legion may activate its experimental systems. If so, until the end of the turn, add 1 to the Strength and Damage characteristic of weapons the model is equipped with; but, in addition, with each unmodified hit roll of 1 the model suffers 2 mortal wounds when all shots have been resolved.

Lesser Legion Customs

If your chosen legion does not have an associated Legion Custom, you must instead create their Legion Custom by selecting Lesser Customs from the list below. Each Lesser Custom has a value displayed with it; when selecting your Lesser Customs, their combined value cannot exceed 3. When you select a Lesser Custom, replace all instances of the <Titan Legion> keyword (if any) with the name of your Lesser Legion.

  • Looted Titans (3): The savage hordes of greenskins have stripped these titans down and rebuilt them in strange forms of scrap metal. Although less efficient, these forces' true power lies in spurring the green tide to a new level of war.
-Replace the Imperium and <Titan Legion> keywords of models from this Legion with the Ork keyword. Models in this Detachment do not prevent other units in your army from gaining faction-specific rules and Clan Kulturs.
-Models in this Deatchment count their Ballistic Skill to always be 5+ (before modifiers).
-Models in this Detachment obtain the following special rule:
  • Waaagh! Banner: While a friendly Ork unit is within 12" of this model, it always counts as being in the second stage of Waaagh! and Speedwaaagh! and can add 2" to the distance it moves when advancing or charging.
  • Overtaken by the Cult (3): Thorugh strange and impossible means, these titanic engines have fallen in the hands of the xeno cult of the Genestealer. Their machine spirit tainted by the Great Devourer, they now serve as emissaries of the Void Children and as icons of faith among the insurrectionists.
-Replace the Imperium and <Titan Legion> keywords of models from this Legion with the Genestealer Cult and Crossfire keywords. Models in this Detachment do not prevent other units in your army from gaining faction-specific rules and Cult Creeds.
-Models in this Detachment gain the Crossfire special rule but may never gain any benefit to their hit rolls because of it.
-Models in this Detachment obtain the following special rule:
  • Emissary of the Void Children: While a friendly Genestealer Cult unit is within 12" of this model, add 3 to the Leadership characteristic of models in that unit; in addition, each time a Combat Attrition test is taken for that unit, it is automatically passed.

Battle Tactics Stratagems

Epic Deeds Stratagems

  • Reactor Overload (3/5 CP): Lore description.
Use this Stratagem when a Collegia Titanica model from your army is destroyed. Do not roll to see if that model explodes: it does so automatically. This Stratagem costs 5 Command Points if the model is of Annihilation class or higher, otherwise, it costs 3 Command Points.
  • Proclamation of Insurrection (2 CP): Lore description.
Use this Stratagem during your Command phase. Select one friendly Clamavus model that is within 12" of a friendly Genestealer Cult Collegia Titanica model; that model can use its Proclamation Hailer and Voice of New Truths special rules one additional time this turn. In addition, when using that model's Voice of New Truths ability, roll 4D6 instead of 3D6.

Strategic Ploy Stratagems

  • Focused Shields (2 CP): Lore description.
Use this Stratagem during the Shooting or Fight phase, when one of your Collegia Titanica models is selected as the target of an attack. If that model has at least 2 void shields remaining, until the end of the phase add 1 to your model's invulnerable saving throws and consider each void shield as having 4 wounds instead of 3. Each time one of your model's void shields collapses while under the effect of this Stratagem, a second void shield automatically collapses. This Stratagem's effect immediately ends when your model has one or fewer void shields remaining.

Warlord Traits

When selecting the Warlord for your Collegia Titanica army, select a model you want to be your Warlord; that model can only be selected as your Warlord if it belongs to a class of titans higher than all your other Collegia Titanica units. If so, for the purposes of the Warlord trait, that model is considered to be a Character.

Universal

  • 1: Unyielding Machine Spirit: Lore description.
Unless the Strength characteristic of attacks made against your Warlord or its void shields is 12 or more, reduce the Damage characteristic of those attacks by 1 (this is cumulative with other effects of this type).

  • 1: Blessing of the Emperor: Lore description.
Imperium Collegia Titanica model only. Once per turn, you may decide to swap the result of any die rolled for your Warlord with a 6.
  • 2: Icon of Imperial Might: The sight of such behemoth following them in battle fills the hearts of imperial soldiers with joy, while the enemy covers before it.
Imperium Collegia Titanica model of Support class or higher only. Friendly Imperium units automatically pass Morale tests while they are within 18" of your Warlord. In addition, enemy units subtract 2 from their Leadership characteristic and Attrition tests while they are within 24" of your Warlord.

Traitor

  • 1: Engine of Massacre: The crew of this god-engine, driven mad by the influences of the Dark Gods, only seek to drench the battlefield in blood.
Chaos Collegia Titanica model only. Add 3 to your Warlord's Attacks characteristic.
  • 2: Soul-eater: The demons that harbor inside the hull of this construct feast on the souls of those slain by its might, sustaining the titan with their arcane powers to keep the banquet flowing.
Chaos Collegia Titanica model only. When your Warlord destroys an enemy unit during the Fight phase, it recovers a number of previously lost wounds equal to the collective wounds of the destroyed unit divided by ten.
  • 3: Warp-infested Batteries: Thundering cannons and roaring artillery sunder the sky with cries of demons who plunge from their barrels to bring desolation onto the foe.
Chaos Collegia Titanica model only. When making a shooting attack with your Warlord, an unmodified hit roll of 6 inflicts a mortal wound on the target in addition to the normal damage.

Legio Reliquia

Universal

  • Advanced Communication Relays: x
As long as this model is on the field, roll a die each time you or your opponent use a Stratagem; on a 5+ you gain a Command Point. In addition, you gain one additional Command Point at the beginning of your turn if your army is Battle-forged.
  • Back-up Shield Generators: Additional energy sources and secondary emergency systems make sure the titan's shield can hold their weight even against the most gruesome of salvos.
At the start of your Command phase, this model recovers one additional previously lost void shield. In addition, once per battle round, the first time this model loses its last void shield, it immediately recovers one void shield with full wounds.
  • Immaterial Hull: The metal of this once glorious war machine has been tainted by the ruinous powers and twisted by the warp; now it exists in a limbo between materium and immaterium, forever wandering the earth like a ghost in the mist.
Chaos Collegia Titanica only. This model gains a 5+ invulnerable save. In addition, attacks made against this model suffer a penalty of 2 to their Ap characteristic.
  • Castigator's Heritage: The Castigator-class titan was the father of all titans and even though it now lays in ruin, the models created after him still contain a fraction of its might.
Add 1 to the Strength and Toughness characteristic of this model and add 2 to the Movement and Attacks characteristic.
  • Sacrarium of Saint Sergio: In the inner chamber of this titan lies the remains of Saint Sergio and his spear. The glory of the Emperor resonates with such ancient relics and grants the god engine innate strength.
Imperium Collegia Titanica only. Roll a die each time this model would lose a wound, on a 6 that wound is not lost. In addition, this model's Movement and Attacks characteristics never degrade as it takes damage.

Loyalist

  • Chasmata Pattern Laser Destructors: The Chasmata pattern of the Legio Tempestus is known for its precision and brutality across the galaxy. A single round of this incredible weapon is able to melt down a land rider or an imperial bunker and even another titan isn't safe against an entire volley.
Legio Tempestus model with at least a weapon from the Laser Weaponry only. Add the following to all of those weapons' special rules: 'When making an attack with this weapon, wound rolls of 5+ inflict 3 mortal wounds in addition to the normal damage.'
  • Enhanced Auspex Relays: Advanced scanners and multi-optics paired with powerful relays allow this titan to communicate every detail of the enemy even to its long-distant allies, so they can bring their holy retribution.
Legio Gryphonicus Wahound Titan or Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan only. Friendly Legio Gryphonicus models may re-roll failed hit rolls against enemy units that have been attacked by this model during the Shooting phase.
  • Gravitonic Sensor Array: This ancient mechanism allows the targeting relays of the titan to sense the small gravitational forces created by the enemy units so it can fire with surgical precision even when obscured.
Legio Ignatum model only. Enemy units don't receive the benefits of Cover for attacks made by this model.
  • Miniature Ciricrux Anima: The Ciricrux Anima is an old relic of a past that should be forgotten. This device is merely a copy and even then its full capabilities aren't completely understood. Even for a replica, the sense of dread and hopelessness it emanates is undistinguishable.
Ordo Sinister model only (other than a Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan). This model gains the Psyker keyword and can attempt to manifest two psychic powers in each friendly Psychic phase, and attempt to deny one psychic power in each enemy Psychic phase. This model knows the Smite power and one psychic power chosen from the list below:
-Antiphatic Tempest (Warp Charge: 10): Select an enemy unit within 36" of this model and roll a D6; that enemy unit suffers a number of mortal wounds equal to four times the number rolled.
-Death Pulse (Warp Charge: 8): Roll a die for each enemy unit within 18" of this model; on a 5+ that unit suffers 2D3 mortal wounds.
-Necrotechica (Warp Charge: 8): This model regains a number of previously lost wounds equal to the result of the Psychic test.
-Shroud of Terror (Warp Charge: 8): Enemy units within 24" of this model must subtract 2 from their Leadership characteristic and Morale tests they take.
  • Motive Sub-Reactors: With the installation of secondary reactors in the titan's legs, allows the Titan to operate at full locomotive capacity without drawing on the main reactor.
Legio Astorum model only. This model can charge even if it advanced during the previous Movement phase. In addition, when this model charges, roll an additional die and discard the lowest result.

Traitor

  • Decadentis Reactor: This rusty old reactor was created before the Horus Heresy and was the power source of the first titan of the legion fallen to Nurgle. Ever since the original bearer was destroyed, this relic has been installed in numerous war engines, gifting them with the bounties of the Plague Father.
Legio Mortis model only. Roll a die each time the bearer of this Relic would lose a wound; on a 5+ that wound is not lost. In addition, when the bearer of this Relic is destroyed, add 2 to the roll to see if it explodes.
  • Flaming Crown: A halo of flames overs atop this engine's head shining brightly like a sun. The crown is fueled by the blood spilled by the heretic god-engine and powers its corrupt machine spirit to commit further acts of atrocity.
Legio Magna model only. During the Fight phase, if the bearer of this Relic has killed at least one unit with a weapon that it's not its feet, it may immediately fight a second time. After this, the model cannot fight again until the end of the phase.
  • Hunting Auspex: Titans equipped with this arcane device are better able to pick their enemies out from the tangled wreckage of the battlefield, especially at longer ranges where they can isolate targets.
Legio Fureans model only. At the start of the Shooting phase, select one enemy within line of sight of this model. Re-roll all hit rolls for ranged attacks made by this model against the selected unit.
  • Janus Pattern Missiles: The Legio Vulcanum employs a special pattern of missiles capable of finding enemy forces hiding inside ruins or trenches. After the fall to chaos, the taint of the ruinous power has granted these weapons the ability to phase through solid matter making their blood-soaked legacy even more feared.
Legio Vulcanum model with at least a weapon from the Missile Weaponry only. Add the following to all of those weapons' special rules: 'Enemy units don't gain the benefits of Cover against attacks made by this weapon.'
  • Storm Frag Shells: These specialized rounds mounted inside the titanic bolters of the Legio Vulturum are incredibly advanced and are always improved on with each field operation. The greater strength comes at a cost though, continuous fire of these shells can bring the weapon to melt under the strain and eventually cause a complete meltdown of the titan's reactor.
Legio Vulturum model with at least a weapon from the Bolter Weaponry only. Add the following to all of those weapons' special rules: 'Unmodified wound rolls of 6 cause inflict one mortal wound on the target in addition to normal damage. Unmodified hit rolls of 1 inflict one mortal wound on the firing model instead.'

Lords of War

Warhound Titan

Warhounds are the eyes and ears of the Titan Legions, commonly used to range ahead of battle groups to perform dangerous reconnaissance on raiding missions. Despite being the smallest Titan class, a single Warhound can easily turn the tide of battle when used to support ground forces, the sheer power of its weaponry and armor being more than most foes can overcome.

This unit contains 1 Warhound Titan (Power Rating: 100).

Each time a saving throw is failed for this model against a ranged attack, if it has any void shields, it does not suffer any damage. Instead, for each point of damage inflicted, one of its void shields loses 1 shield point. Once a void shield has lost a shield point, it must continue to lose shield points due to any further damage inflicted until it collapses. Each time an attack causes a void shield to be reduced to 0 shield points, that void shield collapses: this model loses that void shield and any excess damage inflicted by that attack is lost. Void shields can never be used to prevent mortal wounds (each mortal wound inflicted on a model with void shields causes that model to lose one wound as normal).

At the start of your Command phase, if this model has a void shield that has fewer than 3 shield points remaining, that void shield is restored to 3 shield points. In addition, this model regains a number of Void Shields equal to the table below.
