Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition
Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition the most recent installment in the Dungeons and Dragons series. So far the first part of the core rulebooks (Players Handbook, Monster Manual and Dungeon Masters Guide) have been released, along with a series of one-shot adventures.
System
Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition follows the standard use of the d20 system. This means that most actions are resolved by rolling a 20 sided die, adding modifiers (both positive and negative), and comparing it to the DC (Difficulty Class) of that particular action. Results include a number of different effects, in many combat cases, damage (often rolled for using other dice), and in most other cases, an effect that is agreed upon by the DM.
Main differences from 3.5
- 4E has a streamlined, better combat
- Needs moar splatbooks
4E Released Materials
4E on /tg/

The appearance of core books on internets has divided /tg/'s d&dfags, causing massive amounts of HATRED, directed at the changes, introduced in the new edition and those who liked them. Supporters of fourth edition are usually suspected in cooperation or employment with WOTC and accused of VIRAL MARKETING. The new edition is also considered by many being more weeaboo than Book of nine swords. One of the curses thrown at 4e is calling it a "shit twinkie". It should be noted that shit twinkie is a shit meme, and is mostly used for low-class trolling.
