Flying Polyps are a famous monster from the Cthulhu Mythos written by H.P. Lovecraft. Often depicted as a sort of semi-fungal mass of flesh studded with eyes and mouths, flying polyps have the innate ability to fly and manipulate the wind in form of pseudo-telekinesis. They warred with the Elder Things for dominion over Earth in its ancient pre-history, but lost and were sealed away in their subterranean cities.
