Lizardfolk are what you fight in a swamp. If you are in a swamp, you will probably fight lizardfolk. Swamp=Fight lizardfolk. Considering how amazing and how variable/awesome lizards are in the real world it's sad that this is all RPGs offer.

Unified Setting Description

Two immutable rules dictate lizardfolk society.

1) Lizardfolk must spawn in a marsh, which makes them amphibians, not reptiles. 2) The lizardfolk god is a god of PROGRESS!

Lizardfolk are expected to explore their brave, new world, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no lizardfolk has gone before!

Whatever knowledge they find they are expected to bring back. That can be in the form of new ideas or clever slaves, but if they don't serve the cause of PROGRESS! their chances of spawning are pretty low.

(This seems pretty rough, and implies that there is both a very strong central government and that they are geographically bound to spawn only in a certain area. But it has met with /tg/ approval so it stands.)
