The Order Of The armoured Heart
The Order Of The Armoured Heart is a /tg/ suggested and illustrated Sororitas Order, devoted to the use of CQC and melee weapons they excel in close combat and eschew power armour for their core troops in favour of monk's robes and carapace armour, they also have a one sided hatred of Dark Eldar and Khornate berserkers.
"The Order is notable for it’s devotion to martial arts and melee weaponry, usually warriors eschew cumbersome power armour in favour of carapace armour under monk’s robes, and the use of a special metal that absorbs and redistributes kinetic energy to fight more armoured opponents, making even the youngest Sister capable of breaking bone and shattering armour. When fighting against large scale forces they equip both normal power armour as well as power swords and thick shields, the Mother Superior leading them wielding His Claws and directing her sister’s to absorb enemy fire. They do not eschew the use of flame weapons however, and many times a foolish general has tried to defeat them with an army of massed tanks, only for their quickness and use of melta grenades to cripple such attempts."
History of the Order
The founder, lady Catherine, was born on the feudal world of Pyraxis 1, born a noble, she lived a life of pampered luxury, but found herself taking a great interest in the use of martial weaponry. When Catherine’s father fell to a chaos cult that rose up in the world’s capital city, she protected her mother and younger sisters cloaked in only a nightgown and with a ceremonial spear, after joining the defence and with the help of a newly arrived force from the Imperial outpost of the planet, killing it’s leader, she found, to her horror, that a hellbrute intended to be used as a secret weapon had murdered her family. Grasping the twin power swords used in ceremony she duelled the beast, and despite taking mortal wounds, crippled it and cut it’s pilot out with her remaining breath. After the Imperial priests of the planet declared her a martyr she asked with her dying breath than an order of Sororitas be established on her planet to prevent such a tragedy, and that they wield the swords in the Emperor’s name. Her last words were, “May they be...more stoic than I….so they might live to save their own…”.
The Order's Homeworld
Pyraxis 1, a semi urbanised world, Feudal, maintains Fortress Cathedral at it’s center, Shipyards in orbit and semi regular orbit near an Asteroid Field makes it invaluable as a waypoint for transferring ore to transport ships. It's mainly inspired by Chinese and Western medieval history, with a dash of the IG coming in every so often to drag off new recruits, one half of the Order's relic weapons come from the Eastern area, and the other half from the west, which is the reason Boudicea's power weapon is a Dao.
The Rebellion at Italica
Sister Charlotte emerged from the grand wooden doors of the Order of The Armoured Heart’s fortified chapel, looking out from the top of the hill on which it was situated at the blazing orgy of violence their city had suddenly become, for two weeks the Sisters had taken shelter along with the faithful and needy inside the sanctified training ground, halting all exercises and readying their staffs, polearms, fists and swords for what they assumed was a typical riot of malcontents. However, what soon came to light was a deep rot in the core of the place, something that even the arbites could not handle, and as she observed the slaughter and violence in the streets the Mother Superior’s words echoed in her ears, “Suffer not those who would inflict pain on the innocent, they deserve only a thousand fold in return”, and she readied her long staff, almost as tall as she was the polished metal gave only a dull glint to the orange lights below them, her only armour on her forearms, hands and shins of the same metal, a holy weapon befitting their order. The other sisters soon joined her in looking out across the city, specks of orange and yellow blossoming in the distance from the area of the promethium refineries, Charlotte could only curse that they hadn't noticed the rot setting in before, Sister Anna approached, mace steady even as the purity seals stitched to her robe waved in the warm wind, “We require your order Ma’am…”, she said softly, Charlotte nodded a bit, wearily sighing before raising her staff in both hands, bellowing the war cry of good, Emperor fearing people the Imperium over, “Suffer not the traitors to live! For they are not worthy of our mercy!”, the others shouted in approval as one, raising maces and shields to the sky, before forming a column of the armoured Sisters, descending the steps down to the streets below, Charlotte leading them as she hefted a lantern in one hand, the other gripping the pole firmly halfway through, held steady at her side….

After finding her superior crippled by an attack from an Eldar Farseer, Boudicea took up the Order's relic power sword and duelled the Farseer to a standstill, grievously wounding her before the Xenos Witch retreated, with immediate medical attention Brunhilde survived, but was no longer fit for combat, and passed on command to Boudicea, who was soon to be formally handed the title on Firra, before distinguishing herself by duelling and defeating a Dark Eldar Archon during an ill timed raid on the capital hive
Canoness Alyysia
>Name: Canoness Alyysia >Physical Details: Blonde Hair, Caucasian, female. >Notable features: Eye-patch over right eye. One of the chapters premier Halberd users, training under the last Canoness Superior and being promoted to Canoness herself after the events on Orbiting Penitentiary #656, she ended up blinded after her squad ran into the Wych Cult Leader Lelith Hesperax during a Dark Eldar raid in one of the systems neighbouring Pyraxia's own. This incident and the raid on Firra led to what is perceived by many to be a one sided hatred of the Order to the Dark Eldar as a whole, surpassing most Order's zealous attitude towards these Xenos. Currently she is awaiting a bionic to replace her eye, but has still managed to function as an excellent fighter on the battlefield despite her wound.
