Part of The The Post-Apocalyptic Roadmap project.


Slovenia


When the war started Slovenia wasn't particulary threatened due to the fact that nobody knows where it is . It has suffered colateral damages though. A nuke that exploded in Venice rendered the entire north Adriatic toxic and a Chembomb headed to Vienna that devied to crash in Panonia rendered south Hungary (and north-east Slovenia) unhabitable.

Directly after the apocalypse the governement regained some control over it's territory, but the whole country was shaky. Soon riots in Celje and Kranj demanding more liberty overthrew the local military governors. 5 months and 12 days after the apocalypse the People's Republics of Gorenjska (Capital: Kranj) and Celje (Capital: Celje) were born. Right before that a giantic nuclear cloud cut the most south parts of Slovenia from the rest of it. Soon after that many declarations of independance occured and now the county is a patchwork of mini states.


Factions

The Free City of Ljubljana

Basicaly after the country fell apart, the governement took a new name and a fancy new flag and nominated Ljubljana a free city. It's still the most populated place in Slovenia due to old pre-steam trade routes beign restored (most of the buses/trains/cars were either destroyed , left in decay , lost or used as "bars" ).
