Rakshasa

The Rakshasa is a fiendish race from Dungeons & Dragons, originally drawn from Indian mythology. Master shapeshifters and illusionists, they are selfish, arrogant, hedonistic bastards who in their true form resemble humans with the heads and tails of tigers (although background fluff occasionally gives them alternate heads, like apes, wolves or mantises) and whose hands are "reversed". Whether this means they are upside down or the wrong way around (so the left hand is on the right wrist, and viceversa) varies from claim to claim.
