Tale of the Comet is an Adventure Path or mini-campaign setting for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition. One of the last books ever published by TSR, if not the last, it tells the story of a generic D&D world which becomes the latest battleground in a war between two alien powers; the ruthless AI known as the Overseer, which seeks to exterminate all organic life with a force of killer robots and cyborg zombies (known as "The Doomed), and the desperately struggling Rael, a once-peaceful race who accidentally woke it up. But your band of heroic adventurers may well be the salvation of the Rael, for you wield a power neither side could have ever imagined: magic.
