Thunderers

Thunderers are Dawi warriors armed with handguns.

Exactly who on Mallus invented the gun is unclear, with both the Dwarfs and Grand Cathay being able to make the claim. But regardless of who was first the Dwarfs were making guns before the day of Sigmar, though it took centuries for them to be beta tested enough to be widely accepted for regular use and there are still curmudgeons which don't accept them.

Thunderers tend to be either well off financially or have some connection to the engineering guild. They also like to tinker with their guns to improve them and make them better. Compared to your usual Empire Musket a Dawi gun is longer ranged, more reliable, sturdier and more powerful. It's implied that they've gone from Flintlocks to Caplocks.
