"Blood Bowl is Games Workshop’s game of fantasy football, designed by Jervis Johnson in the 1980’s. It involves luck and strategy while involving only a handful of miniatures... The basic premise behind Blood Bowl is a game of American Football / Rugby. The game involves two teams attempting to score touchdowns on one another. Simple enough, right? A player may choose from any one of 21 different teams, based on races largely from GW’s Warhammer world (with a few exceptions). However, the underlying fantasy world is meant to be wholly different from the Warhammer world, although this no impact on game play."
