Ku'Motsk of Avengar, commonly known as the Void King, is the sovereign of the Harakien Empire and lord of the webway realm of Uris. He is a noted commander with over a millennium of experience in naval and ground combat at the time of the Great Crusade. The Void King rules over his corner of space jealously, and seeks to guide his race back to its former glory. Following his defeat at the hands of Augustin Carron of the space marine legion Winged Victory and subsequent resurrection, many of his followers believe him to be a messianic figure destined to return the Eldar Empire to its former glory. While many detractors comment on his barbarism, megalomania, and lack of subtlty, he is nonetheless universally regarded as one of the most powerful Eldar in the galaxy.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Ku'Motsk is tall for an eldar, standing at just over 7 feet, and much thicker built than many of his kind. He has narrow eyes and a low brow, giving a particular edge to his appearance. His sharp features are exemplified by a thin mustache and pointed beard, which many of his high-born peers note as a mark of his low class origins, and he keeps his head completely bald otherwise. He is reserved and quiet in general company, but those who have fought alongside him have seen him to be a fierce and enthusiastic combatant on the battlefield and his closest companions know there is a powerful emotional side to the normally stoic sovereign.

The Void King is typically clad in a thick and ornate set of flex-plate armor similar to that of the incubi hierachs he often goes into battle with. A massive set of pointed wings protrude from the back of the armor, allowing for rapid manipulation of its in-build jump engine, with a prehensile tail at the bottom to catch those foolish enough to assault its wearer from behind. His helmet is smooth polished silver all but for a pair a pair of ornate curved horns at the front, and offers the king a 360 degree view of his surroundings in a variety of vision modes. Following his defeat at the close of the Imperial Pacification of the Harakien Sector, the Void King has been outfitted with an array of sophisticated cybernetics with a variety of purposes.

History[edit | edit source]

A low born second son of the agriculturalists Ku'Ran and Ymyss, Ku'Motsk lived an austere life far from the heart of his civilization. The clan Ku, among many others, had tended to Avengar for thousands of years with few exceptions. Duty was an odd value at the height of the Eldar empire, but among the agriculturalist clans there was purpose to be found in it. The young Eldar revealed himself as exceptional from a young age by producing faster and more productively than any of his peers, but his wild nature and dissatisfaction with the lifestyle proscribed to him set him apart even further. He dreamed of a life of adventure among the stars, and it was not long before he reached out and took it. At the young age of 50 years, Ku'Motsk was on his way to the Imperial Naval Academy at Scurilos.
