A foul, diseased being whose true form is said to be an androgynous, rot-claimed, goat-headed humanoid, Morgion is the God of Pestilence and Decay in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Dragonlance.

Feeding on fear, Morgion is the most loathed, hated and despised of all the dark gods of Krynn, with his followers being drawn from the ranks of the sadistic, master poisoners, and desperate plague victims who sow disease or spread poison in exchange for being preserved from the ravages of their own sickness.

Acording to some sources, Morgion was, alongside Takhisis, one of the first gods to break the pact forged between deities and return to Krynn after the Cataclysm, unable to resist the feast of disease and ruin spread by the gods' brutal punishment of the world.

It goes without saying that Morgion's bitterest enemy is Mishakal, and the Goddess of Healing will do almost anything to defeat him - and he returns the sentiment.

Morgion has no allies. Even Chemosh, who might actively benefit by offering his dubious gifts of undeath to those on the verge from disease or poison, finds Morgion distasteful.

Dogma[edit | edit source]

Disease breeds fear. Fear is power. Spread disease and reap the terrible reward.
