Themeta

One Game to rule them all, One Game to find them, One Game to bring them all and in the 4chan bind them

There is no other game but Themeta. All games (Or nearly all) are a part of Themeta, and play a role in a full game.

Even now, there's a group of deranged apocalypse cultists, deep within the bowels of a time-forgotten Tibetan mountain, playing Themeta. They've been playing since the advent of board games. And when they finish, so does time itself.

The only way to stave off mankind's impending annihilation is to continue to create new and exciting board games, which in turn form a cosmic connection to Themeta, exponentially complicating the game's already arcane rules. For this very reason, the cultists rely upon a council of seven corpse-kings known only as the "Rule Lawyers", whose eternal duty is to decipher the rules of each new board game (as whispered to the undying lords by a swarm of ghost moths) upon release, and to find each new games' God-appointed place in Themeta.

They're getting better at it by the day.

General Rules[edit | edit source]

Be sure to play each turn, number of turns, or complete game (depending on the game and Level in question) from the lowest level upwards.

In other words, play the appropriate number of City turns/games before playing and Country-Level games.

Unless otherwise stated, abilities or outcomes that affect a game on a higher Level affect the same area (Or as close to the same area as possible) on the map for the Higher-level game if the two correspond.

Galaxy Level[edit | edit source]

Each Planet Level has the following games occurring:

Twilight Imperium[edit | edit source]

Each planet tile on the game board represents an entire Planet Level, and (Insert game-affecting rules here, as I've never personally played Twilight Imperium)

Race for the Galaxy[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Cosmic Encounter[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Starfarers of Catan[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Eminent Domain[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

These games are occurring under special circumstances:

Starship Catan[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Planet Level[edit | edit source]

Each Planet Level has the following games occurring:

Risk[edit | edit source]

(Insert some rule about interacting with Galaxy Level games, probably giving a modifier if you win a Risk game and thwart a Galaxy Level attempted attack)

When playing a Risk battle, skip down to the Region Level and play Stratego to determine the victor. IF the Risk battle crosses a body of water, play a game of Battleship to determine the victor instead.

Pandemic[edit | edit source]

Played simultaneously as Risk (Same turns).

At the start of each Pandemic turn, remove 1 Risk token per disease cube over 1 in the approximate area (So for example Paris with 3 cubes would remove 2 armies from Eastern Europe). If another player so wishes, they may treat your Pawn as a single enemy Army and attack it when passing through their territory. If destroyed, discard all player cards, and replace your Pawn for free in a city you control.

If the Pandemic Lose condition is reached, see below under Zombies Scenarios whenever you play a Continent game of Catan.

This Pandemic game is only Won when all diseases are Eradicated, not just cured.

(If a Galaxy-Level game has any kind of viral/disease weapons you know of, this should be mentioned here to reset the Pandemic game)

Diplomacy[edit | edit source]

Diplomacy is played roughly analogous to Risk turns. Diplomacy army and Navy markers are removed from areas analogous to Territories in Risk you do not control (If multiple Diplomacy areas cover a single Risk area, all the Risk areas must be under enemy control for your Diplomacy token to be removed). Each Supply Center you control in Diplomacy grants +1 Risk army as well as the appropriate Diplomacy tokens.

When a player has their Risk turn, they also play their Diplomacy turn immediately after declaring what territories their Risk Armies are attacking. If your Diplomacy support for a region outnumbers the enemy, you count as having 5 additional Risk Armies in that territory per point of Support you have more than the enemy.

If you capture a territory with a Supply Center, immediately play a game of Monopoly to see how firmly you control the industrial city.

These games are occurring under special circumstances:

Twilight Struggle[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Axis and Allies[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Continent Level[edit | edit source]

Each Continent Level has the following games occurring:

Ticket to Ride[edit | edit source]

Whoever wins the game in this region may pass troops in Risk or Diplomacy through it freely without it counting against normal troop movement restrictions.

Monopoly[edit | edit source]

If the person who won the Territory with the Supply Center in it wins the Monopoly game, they gain an additional supply for the following turn only.

Settlers of Catan[edit | edit source]

Try to lay out tiles in the approximate shape of the continent you're representing. If you're fighting a Risk battle over the continent, the number of troops you have counts towards the "Largest Army" card.

The winner over this region doubles the value of this Territory in regards to additional Risk armies and such.

In addition, each time a Settlement is built, play a game of Agricola. If the player who built the settlement also wins the Agricola game, then it counts as double points. If the player who built the settlement does not win, the settlement only counts for half points.

If a Settlement is upgraded to a City, play a game of Citadels. If the player who upgraded the city also wins the Citadels game, then it counts as double points. If the player who upgraded the city does not win, the city only counts for half points.

After each Settlers turn, play a game of Carcassonne for each hex to see who controls regions of resources.

Power Grid[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Chess[edit | edit source]

If you win the game of Chess, you may immediately act as if you had 1 additional Support for any Diplomacy actions against or from this Region on the map.

These games are occurring under special circumstances:

Arkham Horror[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

The Elder Sign[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Region Level[edit | edit source]

Each Region Level has the following games occurring:

Carcassonne[edit | edit source]

You are limited to building no more complete Cities in Carcassonne than you have cities or Settlements bordering this Region. If a player plays an Abbey card, immediately play Mystery at the Abbey after finishing this Carcassonne turn.

Whoever wins the Carcasonne game gains double the normal number of Resources for the Catan game for all cities they control adjacent to this hex.

After the Carcassonne game, play a game of Dominion.

Dominion[edit | edit source]

Whoever wins the game of Dominion may steal a resource card from every player with a city adjacent to this hex, stealing 1 card per city.

Stratego[edit | edit source]

When figuring out your Stratego army, pick a total points value equal to the number of Armies you have (Mines and spies count as 6, flags count as 0 and are mandatory). You cannot pick a higher-value model unless you already have at least one of each lower value model. If there are more Armies than available Stratego models, play a second game after this one using the adjusted army values (So if you lose a General (9), that's a loss of 9 Risk Armies)

When one model reaches another, if it is a mine or Flag it acts as normal. Otherwise, play a game of checkers, with each side getting a number of pieces equal to their power set up as normal (A Spy attacking gains 16 tokens, a Spy attacked gets 1).

Checkers[edit | edit source]

Same as normal checkers.

Battleship[edit | edit source]

Same as normal Battleship, but the attacking side must have at least 1 ship per army, up to 3, and they must be the largest available, while the defending player gets 1 ship per army, up to 2, of the smallest available. The attacking side gets 1d3 shots per army, up to 3d3, and the defending player gets 1d3 shots per army, up to 2d3. Each lost ship counts as a lost army, and play additional games until one side is the victor or the attacker decides to retreat.

Wings of War[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

These games are occurring under special circumstances:

Mystery at the Abbey[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

City Level[edit | edit source]

Each City Level has the following games occurring:

Citadels[edit | edit source]

Played as normal. When the Assassin kills the King (If played by another player), play a game of Clue after completing the remaining players turns for the round.

Agricola[edit | edit source]

Played as normal (?) (No idea on the rules)

These games are occurring under special circumstances:

Puerto Rico[edit | edit source]

Played instead of Citadels when someone upgrades to a City in the region of Puerto Rico (Mexico on Risk map) (No idea on the rules)

7 Wonders[edit | edit source]

Played instead of Agricola when a Settlement is built in the region of Mediterranean (Egypt, Southern Europe, or Middle East on Risk map)

Clue[edit | edit source]

Whichever player wins this game may decide to begin a game of Resistance if the Citadels game was played for a city not their own. The player who wanted to play Resistance cannot be a Spy, and the original owner of the city cannot play the game.

Kill Dr Lucky[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

The Resistance[edit | edit source]

If this game is won by the Resistance, the city that was being played in is immediately reduced to a Settlement instead (Do not play another game of Agricola for it)

Android: Netrunner[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Zombie Scenarios[edit | edit source]

In case of the "Lose" condition from Pandemic (Planet Level), players must play a single game (And win!) of any of the following (Except Zombie Dice) each time they build a Settlement, or upgrade a Settlement to a City. If a player does not build a city or settlement, they may instead play Zombie Dice against a chosen player with Settlements or Cities, and if they win, the Settlement is Destroyed, or the City is reduced to a Settlement.

Last Night on Earth[edit | edit source]

Zombies are controlled by any player who has the least total value in Settlements and Cities on the Continent. (No idea on the rules)

Zombies![edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Zombicide[edit | edit source]

(No idea on the rules)

Zombie Fluxx[edit | edit source]

Same as normally played.

Zombie Dice[edit | edit source]

Same as normally played.
