Beastmaster (D&D)

d20 Modern[edit | edit source]
The Wildlord is an Urban Arcana advanced class. It centers around gaining an Animal Companion. That's pretty much all there is to it. The AC is potent, but generally hard to keep around in a modern urban setting, even with the once a day ability to teleport it to your side if it's within a mile. It's mostly obsoleted by Shaman (which is really just the Druid) in d20 Past, which gains an animal companion, spell casting, and other useful class features, though it can still finish off a Shaman build if you want an even better animal companion.
Pathfinder[edit | edit source]
Beastmaster is a Ranger archetype from Advanced Player's Guide. It allows splitting up your animal companion at the cost of a bonus feat. It has the hidden benefit of giving access to the full Druid list of animal options, which is useful.
Pathfinder 2nd[edit | edit source]
An archetype that any class can take. Gives you Animal companions like the Ranger. With it, your Rogue now has 4 pet Bears to give him sneak attack.
