Infinity/N4 Tactics/Foreign Company

The Foreign Company is responsible for the protection of some of the most precious assets of mayor Maya channels. They also have quite a few Aristeia! fighters among them, and they do use it to get paid twice for what they do- once as a mercenary company, and then as stars of their own macabre reality show. That sounds pretty nuts, but they consist mostly of PanO and TJC soldiers with some celebreties, it doesn't get more profit-oriented than that! To keep the cashflow as lucrative and steady as possible they got to keep a good reputation though, so they totally never do any dirty work...

Why Play ForCo?[edit | edit source]

They‘re a mix of TJC and PanO units, with a high amount of mercenary characters. If you got a fetish for character-heavy lists, and/or own both a bit of TJC and PanO this band of mercenaries slash influencers are something you might want to give a closer look.

Faction Features[edit | edit source]

  • The best of both worlds: Having the firepower of PanO combined with the mad tools of TJC and Bakunin and barely any downsides. You don't have to decide between brains and guns in ForCo.
  • Flexible link-options: With all the characters and Bolts joining an Orc link there's a TON of possibilities for creating the link of your dreams. While there isn't any wildcard options the whole special fireteam rules create a very similar feel to the sectorial.
  • Premium units for a premium price: ForCo isn't some cheap-ass mercenary troop, they've got all the good stuff! That means building a list can become tricky if you want to fit everything in.
  • Veterans all over the place: Ok, that may be an exaggeration. But Both Bolts and Securitates have it, running a few of these units while using an offensive LT like the Kriza way less scary. Also having a veteran hacker turns off their biggest vulnerability.

Units Overview[edit | edit source]

Unit Identifier ForCo

Light Infantry[edit | edit source]

  • Corporate Security Unit: CSU have Metachemistry, which can be very good if the RNG-gods favor you. They also get sixth sense which doesn’t really matter all too much since they‘ve got a unique thing going an in ForCo: they can be included into a Securitates-link. And since their cheapest profile comes at 11pts and the specialist trait it’s very attractive, even if it’s just to shave off a few points of your core link.
  • Cube Jäger: They‘re only a little bit cheaper than Akalis, don’t get Combat Jump and they’re irregular. Both profiles bring Paramedic, which seems to be their whole schtick. With WIP 13 they can do the button pressing quite well though and having a SMG and an e/mitter can be very useful to scare away the opponents units after a button is pushed.
  • Clockmakers: One of three engineers in ForCo, but this one's both the cheapest and brings the highest WIP to the party.
  • Daktaris: Neither the most competent doctor nor a unit doing more than one thing, but it's the cheapest option and WIP13 is still reliable enough if you want one on a budget.
  • Securitates: ForCo‘s Linetroopers hired fresh from Tunguska, and they are expensive at 13 pts on the cheapest profile. You get what you pay for, since they've got BS12 and WIP14, which makes them quite versatile. They've got Fireteam: Core and can bring Corporate Security Units, which bring their own unique thing to the link. Also they've got Veteran! It's one of the skills you never want to be relevant and probably don't want to pay for, BUT whenever it gets relevant it's such a great thing to have. Having a few regular orders when losing your LT early can make the difference between losing and winning a game, or at least between a minor and a major victory. Typical for this kind of units they've got quite a few profiles. Your linkfiller is the plain Combi Rifle, also comes as LT. CSU's got cheaper filler options for your link, but the basic profile is still a good choice for LT disguise. For two points more you can make them Paramedic, or pay 16 pts for a built in repeater (which also come with BSG option instead of the Combi for the same cost). You also get a very nice Hacker profile which profits even more from being immune to Isolated, and some SWC weapons that probably do more for you on the other units in the roster.
  • Avicenna, Mercenary Doctor: A premium doctor to bring if you really want to get your gunslingers back up again- with WIP15 and Doctor (+3) she will take care of that. NWI and Bioimmunity allow her to risk taking a hit, but neither her BS nor her PH really beg for any risky moves with her. MOV 6-2 make her more order efficient in what she's supposed to do. She can join Kaplans and Orcs in a link.
  • Hannibal, Mercenary Team Leader: This man is an expensive man to hire. Biometric Visor, Discover (+3), Dodge (+3), Immunity (Shock), NWI and either Chain of Command or LT with Strategos L1. And there's the option to have Strategic Deployment on the CoC-profile aswell (the LT always has it). All this is nice, but you're paying a premium for a profile like this. He doesn't have any fancy weapon options but the boss isn't supposed to be the brute of the crew anyways. He clearly can be worth it, but don't take him if you're just after CoC, there's a way more attractive option.
  • Laxmee, Hacker of Fortune: A linkable hacker with WIP 14 and BTS 6, minelayer dropping cybermines, MIM (-3), a pitcher and an SMG and a HD+ (UPGRADE: Fairy Dust). All that for 24pts and you can link her with Kaplans and Orcs. What's not to love here?
  • Warcors: 3pts for an irregular Flashpulse ARO. Fit him into your list whenever you got the slot and points, they're well worth it. A little twist in ForCo is their AVA two!
  • Wild Bill, Legendary Gunslinger: Wild Bill doesn't want to hangout with PanO and prefers the Kaplans as a link instead, probably because he's an intellectual enjoying their WIP 14 presence. He's fast at MOV 6-2, got (+1Dam) and shock on his BS, also he's got marksmanship and NWI. Neither the rifle nor the contender have a nice rangeband, but with the MULTI pistol he's got a positive rangeband from 0-12", which overall makes him an unpleasant close-range fighter.

Medium Infantry[edit | edit source]

  • Akalis: Rather basic AD trooper, but not a bad one. Has one specialist profile or can be used a straight up killy unit. Has E/M CCW for some inexplicable reason. Rather average Phys, meaning they could use Supportware. The E/Mitter and AHD profiles can ruin a day of a Heavy Infantry or a TAG.
  • Neoterra Bolts: The've risen in popularity like mad since the transition to N4, so good luck finding any actual models for these. Luckily there's a few nice proxies, get some Nisses and you're good to go. As for their stats and profiles, Bolts come with Fireteam: Core, Haris and Duo, and they allow Senor Massacre, Hannibal or Valkyrie to tag along. They also can join an Orc link. Their veteran skill lets you have at least a few regular orders in case of LoL or the Retreat state, and they're immune to Shock. BS 13 AND marksmanship makes them very capable gunfighters, and with Spitfire, ML and MULTI Sniper they've got three very nice options. Other profiles worth mentioning are the Chain of Command and the LT options.
  • KTS, Kaplan Security Units: Kaplans come roughly around the same price as Bolts, don't shoot as well but they come with WIP 14, making their specialist profiles very appealing. They also bring a few extra weapon options to the sectorial. Link: Core, Haris or Duo, Avencienna, Laxmee and Wild Bill can join these intellectual mercenaries.
  • Brawlers, Mercenary Enforcers: Brawlers don't bring a single skill, and they aren't exactly built for a specific task. Kinda generic listfiller options on this unit, and one of the LT choices of ForCo

Heavy Infantry[edit | edit source]

  • Orc Troops: ORCs are as baseline as they come: no special skills, no fancy equipment, no interesting weapons, WIP 12. They're relatively low points BS 14 HMG platform with Lieutenant option. But being good at shooting is everything this unit needs to do, since they can form both Fireteam: Core and Haris, and have the ability to bring all the fancy characters of ForCo (except Wild Bill) and NeoTerra Bolts into your link! They got a shitton of profiles, bring nice gun options like the Feuerbach or an HMG, and even some more exotic options like the Varuna Orc with stealth and Terrain (aquatic/jungle) or the Svalheima version with climbing plus and Terrain (mountain).
  • Kriza Boracs: The Tunguska beatstick, Kriza Borac is a mini-Szalamandra. ARM5, BS13 and +1Burst means he wants to get in and obliterate anything that's in its path with high Burst firepower. What's more, with the 360 visor on the Mk12 profile he becomes an absolute nightmare to deal with once in Suppressive Fire. He also brings a LT choice and have Link: Duo.

Tactical Armor Gear[edit | edit source]

  • Iguana Squadron: Iguana’s claim to fame is the Ejection system and the 2 wound HI Operator. Basically Iguana is not designed to last, but to take at least one more shot than a regular TAG before going down. Mounted Repeater means it carries around it's own Hacker support. Comes with a vanilla HMG and a Heavy Flamethrower.
    • The fact you’re paying premium for just an HMG combined with a bunch or armor and a repeater makes it a weird unit- to make use of the repeater you’d want to get up close, while the HMG is not for close range- that is compromised by the Heavy Flamethrower and suppressive fire. Coordinated strikes with a hacker and you got yourself a good way to fork AROs here.
    • The pilot is no specialist but wields a HMG and has two wounds

Remotes[edit | edit source]

  • Dronbots: Standard issue S3 Remotes, PanOceanian ones are not special in any way.
    • Clipper: The Smart Missile Launcher Remote. Unfortunately PanO does not have good FOs or Hackers, so it's usually a waste to take one. Especially as the missiles can be hacked back by other faction's better hackers.
    • Fugazi: The Repeater/Flash Pulse Remote. Cheap Regular Order and a mobile Repeater. Nice filler or Flash Pulse ARO.
    • Pathfinder: The Forward Observer Remote. Mobile Repeater, armed, specialist, for 15 pts. It is one of PanO's better specialists, in part due to its fast movement.
    • Sierra: The HMG Total Reaction Remote. Just park it where it can cause your opponent the most trouble moving around.
  • Mulebots: Standard issue S4 Baggage Remotes. Come with Minesweeper, EVO Hacker and TR Combi profiles. EVO Hacker is the one to take if you plan on using a lot of AD (you shouldn’t), TeamPro or Armbots. Minesweeper is a standard cheap Order and a way to dominate a quadrant.
  • Armbots: Peacemaker: The gunfighter remote comes with a Repeater and a Heavy Shotgun and Spitfire options. Brings an Auxbot, making it a less straight-up aggressive bot, fit more for clearing out infiltrators. For this role the Shotgun is preferable. The peacemaker is quite useful for setting up a repeater in the midfield, that can defend itself or redeploy as required.

Warband[edit | edit source]

  • Senor Massacre: Totally-not-Deadpool is made for throwing eclipse grenades, and shank basically anything. Regeneration is really nice and gives him even more flavor. E/M CC Weapons are scary. E/M grenades in a link can be wicked. He's doing a great job in a link with Bolts or Orcs, but having him run solo isn't a bad idea either. Just make sure to keep those terrible jokes coming whenever you run him.
  • Bakunin Überfallkommando: The so-called furry guided missile. The Chimera of the group is silly dangerous with a Viral CCW, eclipse grenades, Natural Born Warrior, martial arts lv2, Total Immunity, cc attack -3 and Climbing Plus. Then on top of that, she brings 1-3 pupniks that are synchronized with dodge +6 (perfect for soaking up AROs), climbing plus and DA CCWs. Just don't let them get caught in the open with their frenzying (use those eclipse grenades). Although she can't take a hit, she can dodge, and a gaggle of ultra-cheap pupniks is dangerous to anything in the game.
  • Valkyrie, Elite Bodyguard: A premium Warband without smoke, but she's making up for it with having a ton of fancy stuff going on. EXP CC is no joke.

Skirmishers[edit | edit source]

  • Zeroes: Zeroes are MIM (-3) Camo infiltrators with a bunch of useful profiles. They're not as good at gun as the Crocmen, but their WIP 13 makes them excellent button pushers if you pick either one of the hackers, the FO or the minelayer.
  • Crocmen: "The Croc Cock" is a versatile Hidden Deployment MIM (-6) infiltrator, good for any of the roles you’d want one. Having Deployable Repeater and mines is pretty sweet. X-Visor makes his Combi Rifle a lot more effective than usual, especially when put in Suppressive Fire mode. Lastly, Croc Men make for some mean snipers.
